Hi ladies,

My ADR date is fast approaching and I would love any advice any of you could offer!

Our wedding will be at noon at Sea Breeze Point, then we will have lunch immediatly following (with the cake served at the restaraunt ) probably at the Grand Floridian Cafe (I warned BF about Lynn's horrible experience, but he is set on it). I figue that our lunch will be through by 3:30 at the latest, in all probability. Finally, we have our dessert party at 8:30 in the Morocco pavillion  .

My question is about the time in between. I am absolutley certain I will be hungry again and want dinner (I probably won't eat much at lunch so I don't spill on my dress). I was thinking of either doing Private Dining (we will be staying at the GF then) or dinner at Bistro De Paris then heading for the dessert party. Is it acceptable for us to eat alone that evening, though, or is it rude? I think that scheduling a dinner for our guests is akin to overscheduling them with the wedding lunch and DP also, but I am afraid they might think we are shunning them if we eat alone. Even so, I really would like to have a nice romantic dinner with my new husband :cloud9:

Any advice, experience, thoughts? It is appreciated! :cloud9:

I would definitely say that any dinner you have should be a private one with your new husband! I know that we needed the time between the wedding and the Dessert Party to rest and regroup, and it was great to process everything that had happened that morning with my new wife. I think you're better off with GF private dining. I remember being absolutely exhausted, and I was very happy to stay in our room at the GF after the wedding. I also expected DW to be starving between the wedding lunch and the DP, but we had enough extra cake left over to sate her for a few hours. From my own experience and reading other people's TRs, I think the less scheduling you do on the wedding day, the better. HTH!

Thanks Sunny! I didn't even think about being exhausted, LOL! I think you are right about PD, then we can do it if we want, or not if we don't want! :goodvibes

Just to let you know, you will not be able to wear your dress to Bistro de Paris. They won't let you wear your dress in the parks unless it is a DP or reception and you are escorted.

I don't think it rude at all that you will be eating without your guests. Personally, I would arrange private dining. I would keep it simple. I wouldn't want to have anything to big, because you will want to enjoy the food that you are having at the dessert party.

Just so you know ADR system is going to be down July 21-end of October. You won't be able to make any reservations at all during that time. The system will be up and running again in October but you'll only be about 90 days out. What day is your wedding?

*Update* Looked at your PJ you'll be fine

When are you making your ADRs?

Thanks for the heads up, but it isn't applicable to me :goodvibes . Well, it would be if I was going to wear my dress to the DP, but my planner said not unless I pay for transport. We are to cheap, so I am not wearing my dress to the DP :lmao:

Our arrival date is January 18, 2009, so I can make them on Tuesday, July 22 according to the calculators I have found. I got super lucky with the ADR thing. We leave for our cruise January 25, so we just squeaked getting our whole trip in with ADRs. Trust me, there was stress when I though we would have to go to 90 days, with sending out the invitations and everything

Another vote for private dining! We ate dinner in our room between the brunch reception and the DP - it was very nice to have time together alone! :goodvibes
