Have you ever had bad housekeeping at Disney or elsewhere ? In addition to being incompotent they are a rude / mouthy ? How did you manage that ? Who did you complain to or did complaining make the situation worse ? I've always had great service in most places I've ever gone. Clueless as to how the most effective way to handle is.

Are you assuming you're going to have an incompetent/rude housekeeper? We've stayed onsite at WDW 7 times and never had a bad housekeeping experience. If you have a problem, press the housekeeping button on your phone and report it.

The only complaint I've EVER had w/ mousekeeping is one time at Riverside a few years ago. Someone had crushed some cookies outside our room & the mess stayed there for 4 days. :confused3 It was a BIG mess. Our rooms were always cleaned perfectly, though, EVERY trip. :thumbsup2 We've been to WDW & stayed onsite at either Riverside or POP at least once a year since 2003, & a little more sporadically before that.

Assume you're going to have excellent mousekeepers, because that's more the norm. (Not the rule...some slip by, I'm sure.) If you do have a problem, just call mousekeeping from your room phone, tell them the problem and, guaranteed, they'll have someone there quickly to re-clean or fix whatever the problem is.

We've always had excellent service at WDW resorts. I guess if I had a problem I'd report it to housekeeping. It's not a concern I really have though.

Are you there now and having a bad time? If so, go down the front desk and tell someone. If that is not the case, then I wouldn't worry about it. I've been to Disney World 11 times and can remember having less than great houskeeping one day. And that was when we checked in, and it looked like they hadn't vacuumed our room. It was fine the next day.

I wouldn't go planning on getting bad houskeeping. It is the exception, not the norm.

If you are having a bad experience you should, and have every right to, report it to your hotel front desk. You should not have to stay in a dirty room. I would also give a smaller tip. On the other hand you should not leave your things strewn all over the room so that the maid has a hard time cleaning around it. I am not saying you are doing this, just that it is something to bear in mind. I just think that they are only willing to disrupt your personal belonging so much. If you are keeping your things put away as much as you can, and your room looks like it's not being cleaned, say something! Your hotel doesn't want you to leave with a bad experience (unless it's a really second rate hotel), they want you to come back.
