Got a question about coolers. Now I KNOW that Disney says no coolers. However, I've read about "collaspable" ones allowed. Please tell me more about these.....how big are they? Are they the same thing as what DH takes his lunch to work in? If not, where would I find one? Are we allowed to bring "beverages" on to the ship for sure? If so, are they in suitcases or in these "coolers". Also, if we wanted to pack snacks to take on an excursion, are we allowed on and off the ship with the "cooler". Please help! I need specifics!

I bought my collapsible cooler at Target and used it to take room service food to the beach on Nassau. Just remember to bring ziplock bags to put the food in. The cooler is the same size as the one your husband brings his lunch in but it is made of softer material and the bottom "board" (used for support when the food is in it) comes up so that the whole thing folds up into a very compact size with velcro closures to hold the sides in. I hope this makes sense!

oh, I also brought pop and water bottles on board but I had them in my beach bag that I was carrying. I took them from the limo we arrived in! There is no problem bringing pop into the ship.

But what about the medium-sized *rolling collapsible* coolers? The one I have is about the size of an adults backback or a pack you would use while hiking. In fact, it can be used as regular luggage if you take the insulated insert out. We were hoping to buy soda just before boarding and have my dh board with this as a carry-on.

Is it the cooler itself that they are objecting to, or the amount of beer, etc. that people are attempting to board with? I can understand problems with those tremendously large hard-sided wheeled Coleman-type coolers.

Ashley,
Sounds like hubby bought a cooler just like you described! THANKS!
