Advice for Printing Journal Pages

Hi all! I just got back from more printing at my mom's house and for some reason we cannot print the journal pages that I have saved. Any hints? It keeps showing a little block with an x. Is it because I saved them as pictures when I should have saved them as files??
thanks!
