I'm traveling to Disney World during Spring Break (starting Good Friday through next Thursday.) I already have a place reserved (Windsor Palms), car reserved (Thrifty), and tickets are in the works.

My parents (in their lower 60s and retired) are staying in the Polynesian and flying in and out a day earlier than us. We couldn't afford on-property so we are staying off property in Kissimmee. My wife (31) and I (34) will have our two kids (who will be 2 and just a week shy of 4) with us. We have rented a minivan so that all can travel together whenever we leave property (Sea World.) Our place at Windsor hills has 3 bedrooms so my parents could rest there overnight or in the afternoon if we choose to use the pool.

Anyone with experience with both parents and/or young children have any advice to make this an easy and/or fun trip? Just curious what your thoughts are. Should be a memorable trip! Thanks all.:goodvibes

We made a 3 generation trip last year and are doing the same this Wed. :cool1: The best advice I can give is to plan on a slow pace. Let the kids look around and take it all in. Use fastpass. It's hard for the little ones to stand in line for long periods of time. Don't plan on the DGPs being built-in babysitters. If they take the kids for a while so you and DH can go on the bigger rides, great! But wait for them to offer. The parks are busy at Easter and it can overwhelm children and grandparents alike. See if you can take the little ones back to the DGP's room for afternoon naps. It avoids a lot of meltdowns. Above all, have a plan but be flexible. You may be surprised at what everyone likes and doesn't like. We spent most of our day in MK at the Indy Raceway. Not part of our plan but DGS loved it. Relax and have a great time!

just remember easter is very busy at wdw and if the parks get full DGP's can get in (b/c they are on property) but you might not be able too.

For us the discount price at POP with DME was much less they car rental, and parking fees alone!

As for traveling with little ones ... listen to them! if they re tired let them nap. If they don't want to see Mickey don't make them. We re doing our 3rd 3 generation trip in 5 weeks!
