Advice and Help for June

Hi Everyone :)

I'm looking for some advice as last night we booked a trip to Disneyland in June, it came right out of the blue and I'm so excited to be going back.....

However.....

I haven't been in June since my first time there 11 years ago and our last two trips have been in September. So I'm wondering what to expect weather/crowds/entertainment wise.

I know its going to be hotter and busier - but what will the park hours be like? Will Fantasmic/Fireworks be on more frequently?

We are there from 22th June - 30th June staying at the GC so we have plenty of time to see our favourite things :).

Any advice greatly received :flower:

Was there last June around that same time. Crowds were pretty large but not too bad, I've seen and heard worse especially during the holidays. Lines for popular attractions like Splash, Space were around an hour long. Others like Pirates, Haunted Mansion were like 30 minutes. Weather is in the high 70's, low 80's. And since the park will be open from 8AM till midnight you will have plenty of time to see and do everything at DL. And yes there are two fantasmic performances every night and one fireworks show nightly, at least that was what they had last June.

Yes, it will be much more crowded than September, but if you do it right, crowds aren't that big of a deal:

1) Arrive early! My #1 tip always! You can grab a couple set of FPs and ride a ton of rides in the first couple hours before the late-risers enter. Morning is the best touring time for DL, especially when the hours are extended (8AM-12AM). Much more people are willing to arrive at the park at 9AM or later, so take advantage of that.

2) Use FP! Always grab a set of FPs first thing when you enter either park. Remember that you can use your FPs anytime that day after your return window has become good. So if your FPs are good for 11:30-12:30, you can use your FPs any time after 11:30. Also use the disconnected FPs (Roger Rabbit and Grizzly River Run-especially in the summer) to grab a set for those rides even while holding onto a set for another ride. Also the two parks' systems are not connected.

3) Understand the rides! You should not arrive extremely early and sprint right to Pirates, or Jungle Cruise, or Innoventions. Those can be done any time of the day because of their high capacities. For morning touring try any of the FP rides or Peter Pan, Matterhorn, Nemo, Alice in Wonderland, Dumbo, and Star Tours because of their low capacities and long lines.

That's more than bearable - your reply was just the sort I was hoping for!! It's worth the larger crowds to have more Fantasmic and Firework options!!

We bought AP's when we were out there last September so we can hop in and out when it suits, do the odd early morning and late night - ooh I am so excited :)

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Midway Mania is open by then too!

Will definitely take note of those tips :)

Looks like early mornings may be the way to go and make sure we do our favourites asap!

Does anyone know what it is like in the evenings? Does it calm down a bit or does it get busier?
