Well I don't know how, but I somehow managed to avoid peaking at this thread all day. I wanted to read it all at once.

After I got home from work and tucked the kiddos into bed, I was sure to go back to exactly where I left off last evening. I didn't want to jump ahead to the end and spoil the surprise. I wanted to read everything as it happened.

LOL - how funny that the 3rd new post was Diane's. Although it was posted before she knew, it also contained her new siggy! LOL Of course I knew right away and started jumping up and down! (Figuratively, not literally! ) Diane, I am so happy for you!!! To have gotten to the 3rd round two years in a row - Man! Let's just say your qualifications to be on this Panel are pretty clear!

I am so, so, so sorry to everyone who didn't make it. I know how devestated I was to get knocked out in Round 1 in both years! I can only imagine how bittersweet it must feel. However, I think Diane is a good example of what can happen in years to come! As many have said already, congrats are in order to everyone who made it this far. It is certainly quite a feat!

Congrats to everyone who made the Panel!!! We have been pulling for all of our Disers all along the way and are so happy that you have made it!!!

Obviously there has to be more announcements to come.....and I personally want to know whether another Dad will be joining all you Moms!!!

I am not upset about not making it to the Panel, yes it would have been a great opportunity, but I have already had so much Disney Magic while at WDW that I already feel blessed. I guess the best is Being chosen Grand Marshal of the Afternoon Parade then later that day receiving dream mouse ears that was a magical day. So even though I am dissapointed I can look back at all of the "magic" I have received from Disney and smile

I got the call late this afternoon, but went out to dinner with a girlfriend - so I'm a little late in posting!

A big congrats to my fellow 2009 panel members!

For those of you that got the dreaded calls today know that as a former finalist that didn't quite make the cut, I really understand where you are at right now. Also believe me when I say keep with it if it's something you really want - a year isn't that long in the grand scheme of things!!!

I am IN! I got the call at 3 o'clock on the dot, but they asked me not to post until after 6 - and I was already in work then. I just got home and came here right away. I'm so thrilled, and so sad for all of you who did not. It's really a bittersweet moment.

Sorry for all those who did not make it. I can honestly say I think I know what you are going through, as I assumed I did not make it, and went through all the angst of not making it.

I don't know if I am the only guy. Would love to know, but was too nervous to ask. Found out however in the call that I used to work with Laura. How wierd is that?

Congrats everyone, and I mean everyone! You are all very special and everyone's kind words and reactions are so wonderful.

Karen and Diane, being a fellow finalist from last year, I cried wonderful tears of pride and joy for you both! DD11 is laughing at me, but WOW, I am so proud and you do prove that dreams do come true! Congrats and double congrats to you both!

To all the other new panelists, wow, please take a moment and treasure this special time!

And, to those of you who didn't make it after coming this far, please try to remember that every one of the finalists could have been chosen and it would have been a great match. But, they could only make room for 16 of the 20,000. Only .16% of the entrants made it as far as you! That is an amazing number and something to be so very proud of! Your love and enthusiasm is evident and you should hold that dear to your heart.

Also, remember it is okay to be sad and then a little mad, it is normal! I promise that you will recover soon!
