I would also try some of the restaurants in the resorts that you may not otherwise go to. I love searching out at least one new places each time I go that I may not otherwise try and have found some really great places in the resorts. The Yacht and Beach Club seafood buffet and Animal Kindgom Lodge have been two of our favorite that we have been back to several times.

This is going to be a long week!

Any 3rd rounders have celebration plans if they make it through to the panel?

My daughter and I are going to our favorite Japaneese restaurant to celebrate or drown our sorrows. If I make it (dd says when) I will probably pass out, then I will begin planning my trip in December. DD will turn 13 during the trip soooo I have some special plans to take care of.

Hi! I'm perhaps the last finalist to join everyone on this awesome site. Apparently, I had a username years ago under my current e-mail address and for the life of me, I couldn't remember it! Long story short, I created a new e-mail account and here I am.

I am from a small town in Louisiana and l am the mama to 3 young boys. I am so happy to have found all of you - I have had some questionable experiences on another board. After lurking awhile, I decided to jump in! Like some of you have said, my interview on Thursday went less than stellar. I am VERY talkative and I think I came across a little bit stalker/crazed. Also, like many of you, I jump every time the phone rings (who knows, maybe they made up their minds early???) After "meeting" all of you, I know that this year's Mom's Panel is going to rock!!! Thank you to everyone who has sent me PMs. I am working on getting my 10 posts so that I can respond! I totally agree with the mom (I think it was PrincessoftheCastle, but not sure) who is looking forward to enjoying a little alone time should we win. Not that I don't worship my kids, but a bed to myself without my youngest's toes in my throat does sound nice. Now I want to make the panel even more so that we can all hang out at THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH!!! Also, not sure why I have three princesses on my signature, I guess I goofed. Oh well!

Congrats on making it to the final round! I interviewed on Thursday and I am sitting on pins and needles. My interview was not what I had hoped, but I am forever the optimist! Perhaps we'll get to meet in December!

I am guessing you have 3 children all boys. I have 3 also, but 2 boys and 1 girl. Ages 11, 5, & 4!

Congrats again! Here's to hoping we'll meet at the Magic Kingdom!

Congratulations to all of the new finalists who have joined the thread!

If I am lucky enough to serve on the panel, I also look forward to sleeping through the night in a bed all to myself! I will miss my two kiddos very, very much, but some much needed sleep and adult conversation would be so wonderful!! Not to mention, my DH will get a wake-up call as to what life as a stay at home mom is all about! Ha Ha Ha.

I will just be glad to get the phone call and know what my fate is either way. I sent back my background papers on Saturday, and today I was having a meltdown because I had myself convinced that maybe I forgot to sign them or something. This surely is a stressful experience!!! Here's hoping the rest of the week goes by quickly and maybe we hear earlier than Friday!!

Hi Mom of Sophie and Aiden,

I had the same fears when I sent my forms! I kept thinking I hadn't signed mine either, LOL.

Like you I will miss my kiddos tremendously, but I wonder what a bed to myself will be like! My 4 year old usually finds our room by morning, and for someone so small, he sure can hog a bed!

One thing I've been wondering, in trying to notice patterns from the 2nd and 3rd rounders, are there ANY finalists who have OLDER children? It seems like they only pick moms/dads with young kids, say under 13 or so. That is a large part of the guests who go to wdw but they are missing another segment with ladies only planning, retired couples planning, graduating seniors planning, etc, as possible panel members. Just thinking out loud here; i'm sure anyone that has been or will be chosen would be very good at planning any type of trip but I was just wondering about the ages of the children of current finalists or past panelists.

Oh Fatima, I'd love to hear how you can manage that! I'm now doing Bible at home with all and my oldest is in school. I HS middle dd for preschool right now. I don't feel able to balance entertaining the little ones (without tv!) and teaching the way I should.

I think there are a few of us with older children. Mine are: DS17 DS14 DD12 Hopefully I can help change the pattern you are seeing! I can't believe how old children get so quickly....I feel like I was just pushing the stroller for DS17 while 7 months pregnant with DS14. DD12 wasn't even a twinkle in our eye yet!

And I'd like to welcome all the newbies who joined us yesterday - so glad you all decided to come out and play! And I KNOW there are a few more lurkers out there so why not join us?

BUT, the teens and my husband aren't really able to go and my in-laws could never handle a last minute trip like this. SO, it will be me and DD11 and DD4. A whole different trip from what we are used to.

Sounds like you have the technicals (babyswitch and single rider line) down...and let's face it, no problem finding food while in Disney!

Sounds like you need to find some common interest between DD11 and DD4. Have you ever done the Disney Family Magic Tour? It is for ages 3+ and is a scavenger hunt? Also....time to unleash the Hidden Mickey's search? Get those girls working together!!!

One other piece of (guilty) entertainment....get any of the Top 10 lists of snacks to try in the World and as you tour - video each of you trying something and giving it a good old #1-10 rating!

I think it is awesome that you will experience this different type of trip! Have fun!
