I think this year has really sparked my own dreams again. Not just the ones that revolve around being a Mom but my own goals as well. Being a great Mom to Nicolas is still my number one priority but this year has renewed my interest in exploring interests that go beyond my role as Mom. I've been re-discovering myself again - underneath laundry, homework, PTO obligations, etc - there are dreams still waiting to come true!

I'm sad to see this year end. It's true. But hopeful about what 2009 will bring. And it's going to be fun to watch 16 more people embarking on their own adventure!

Okay, we interrupt these dreams to return to laundry and errands. Back to reality.

I've been exploring some opportunities that have been presented to me at other websites, etc. My dream (besides staying in Cinderella's Castle!) is to write a book or finish writing one of the many that I've already started. After such a magical year, I think I may have to work on fulfilling more dreams!

I hope all your dreams come true! I know I would certainly purchase one of your published books!

I'm really not sure. Anyone have any great ideas (beyond Kim's excellent ideas)? Heck, even some decent/half-baked ideas?

I think the moms (and, yes, I exclude myself from this idea) should start a podcast.

I had to laugh when I read this.....my in-laws came with us on our trip earlier this month, and neither of them had ever been to DW - anyway on the jungle cruise she was concerned/surprised by/of Disney's choice of hiring such an "unusual" person to man the boat - she seriously thought the girl was on something! My husband and I got a big kick out of it, and let her go on a bit about her shock/horror/disgust and so on before we explained to her it was just a cheesy script - and by that point we had to convince her! Maybe it was really only funny if you were there, but we got a real kick out of it!

(Now if only she believed that there was a rolled up wad of "50's" left behind somewhere - seeing her look for THAT would have been a sight to see!! )

Welcome! Congrats on making it to the final round. I think we were all a bit nervous, I know I was (and I'm usually very outgoing and not shy/nervous). I think it's a combination of excitement and wanting it so badly. Hope your interview went well.

I am from Aurora, IL. I did not try last year. Somehow, didn't hear about it until it was too late. This year, I was on top of it and so were many others in my circles (lots of reminders from friends and family ). It's been incredible to get this far!

I was just about to ask about the background papers. Did anyone else get them? I live quite a bit north so I keep hoping it is just farther to travel and will take a bit longer to get here. (Yes, I am trying to rationalize everything.)

No - they did not think I was an incoherant babbling dunce when I answered that question they asked during the interview. I came across as poised and knowledgeable. (Am I the only one doing this?)
