Hey guys, I keep reading about this bounce back thing. What is it? We haven't been to WDW since last Jan, we went to DL twice this winter instead. We are going in Sept. for the Expedition Everest Challenge, maybe we'll get one then.
Hey there,
Bounceback is what you call the popping-out-of-stroller behavior young children display whenever they see something exciting at Disney. (Basically occurs whenever you put them in there without fastening the “holding in”, I mean, safety belt.)
In the Crystal Palace, children regularly find themselves doing the “bounceback” as they return to their tables after parading around the room in a fun celebration with Tigger and friends. Please note: This may also be clearly observed in the Whispering Canyon Cafe, involving children with hobby horses.
Bounceback also can control and point (often and randomly) the arms of children. Look for, “Look Mom; Darby is really right there. May be followed with (although some may not follow with), “Oh, good, only an hour’s wait. Why don’t you go play with Daddy over in the Pooh play area and I’ll call Daddy's phone when I finally make up to this fence.” Please note: this form of bounceback can also oddly enough occur near Rest Rooms; watch for, “Mom, do you think that bathroom over there has some of those child potties and sinks?”
Bounceback-ing out of beds is what young excited kids do when parents return to their rooms with them so as to offer them a nice afternoon nap. It begins with them saying, “not (yawn) tired” and ends with unexplained popping out from the bed. Do try and cure this type of bounceback-ing with some simple reverse psychology, something like, “Oh dear, you want to sleep now? I hope we can still make our wonderful dinner in four hours, how will we ever make it?”
Oh, yes; now I remember, bounceback is what your kids do when they wake from the “nap” they finally did take at the end of the day on your bus ride back to the hotel. Note: This is the most dangerous kind of bounceback and can really set bedtimes back and effect the next morning. Please do try the reverse psychology tactics mentioned above earlier in your touring day.

But really, when I went in February they were offering bounceback and I wrote down the offered dates and types of savings (because I do weird things like this) in my Passporter. If no one else steps up to offer specifics, I will post them tonight. Basically you can save money on your next vacation if you book your next trip while you are still there on vacation and choose from their list of available dates and resorts.
