I'm from Elizabethtown but live in Lexington now after a 5 year stint in South Florida, just outside Ft. Lauderdale.

Have you ever been to the Kentucky Kids Consignment Sale at Pritchard Community Center in Elizabethtown? I run it. I guess that makes me an odd combo of a SAHM and a working mom If you haven't been before, you should come shop! We also have a location in Louisville, at the Jeffersontown Community Center, just a bit farther for you, I think.

I've been a lurker for years, but can't stand the waiting by myself! As you can see by my user name, I've made it to round 2. I'm from Texas, and I saw two other Texans on the list - good sign by my book ! Anyway, good luck to everyone. I honestly entered this kind of by accident and didn't realize what a big deal it was until I read this thread! Now I'm really hopeful. Might have been better to have stayed in the world of "no big deal", but at least it's not boring! Thanks, Everybody! I promise I'll work on an avatar

I also met my DH at UK, he's a Western KY guy. We were students there in the mid-90's, I did the WDWCP in Fall 1998 at the same time he moved to Ft. Lauderdale and started his "real" job. I finished up school in summer 1999, we got married, I moved to Florida too, and we bought those WDW Seasonal Passes. Hated to give those up, but we needed to move closer to family once the boys were born. Twice the normal number of newborns will do that!

I'll jump in and comment on the sale (I'm a seller ... and friend of pjupton )They're both good - although the KyKids sale in Louisville is still young and growing. The one in E'town rocks.

FWIW - I didn't come out of lurkedom until the end last time. I wasn't sure if public postings would be a detriment to the process.

I still don't know for sure - but this thread seem much calmer than last years debacle over the letters. So I *think* we're safe!

So I guess since today is the deadline for the 2nd essay questions I can now not expect to get any 2nd waves of acceptance emails?

That's ok...I'm looking forward to once again living vicariously through the 2nd rounders and soon to be 3rd rounders moving on!

At least 3 people from MFL (Mouse for Less) have continued on...not sure if they are on dis boards or not (or maybe lurking out there somewhere).
