Adventures by Disney on points?

Is anyone using points to book these trips? I just got the large color brochure, and they sure do sound fabulous, but pricey with $$$, and it seems even pricier with using points. Thought I could do the bank a year, borrow a year thing, but still it seems high. Maybe cash is just the way to go for these?

I would love to know the answer also. The Adventures by Disney sound very similar to the tours offered by Tauck through their Bridges program. The prices are similar as well.

I would be interested in both, but if I had an extra $8K for the tour, I probably wouldn't be able to stop myself from adding on instead!

There was a thread on here where someone had used a combonation of points and cash to pay for the Italy trip with ABD. I can't remember when they are going, but I think it is this year still. They were going to post a review when they got back. I just can't remember who it was and I can't find it now.

If you are considering using cash for it or partially, there is an early booking incentive right now thru Dec 2nd, 2006. These are limited though. We did the "Quest For The West" in 2005' (which was FABULOUS!) and are planning the "Southwest Splender" in 2007'.

Also, there was a promotion earlier that was AMAZING for a family...book two adults and two kids go FREE! This was posted on Mary's site a few months ago (Mousesavers) so I am sure the promotion is over...however it does mean that they do offer discounts, so make sure you check around....
