Has anyone received word the Maiden has been pushed to March, 2026? seeing on another site but no email received yet.

Confirmed. Got the email.

We know many Guests — including you — have been eagerly anticipating the debut of the Disney Adventure. This ship represents a bold new chapter for Disney Cruise Line, as we transform a partially built vessel into a fully reimagined Disney experience at sea.

As we bring this vision to life, we've encountered unexpected delays in the shipbuilding process. To ensure every detail meets the high standards you expect from Disney, we've made the difficult decision to postpone the Disney Adventure's maiden voyage to March 10, 2026. We regret that this change will affect your upcoming sailing.

We understand how disappointing this news may be and sincerely apologize for the impact on your vacation plans. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to deliver an experience that's truly worth the wait.

Since you were originally booked on one of the affected sailings, we will automatically refund any amounts paid to Disney Cruise Line to the original form of payment. Additionally, we would like to extend a 50% discount of your voyage fare for use on a future cruise.* You may book your future cruise as soon as you receive the cancellation confirmation of your original sailing. Note that the future cruise must be booked by March 31, 2026, and the cruise must depart on or before March 31, 2027.

Yep… 2 cruises for the Christmas holidays now cancelled 😞
Have to say we are very happy with the 50% offer though.

I am in total shock about a three (!!!) months delay! And they wait until now? This must have been obvious for months.

I actually read small mentions in the German news articles when they interviewed workers that they were talking about being behind. But it sounded more like that they would have to take more workers with them on the transit than planned than a 3 months delay!

That tally’s with something I saw in German on Facebook with someone saying they used to work at the shipyard and the company building it are well know locally for being constantly under staffed and not hiring additional staff.

I really think they should give those of us that got canceled a $0 deposit and OBC plus not be restrictedto sailings already released. We are screwed with availability now. Even with 50% off, we still end up paying for what we were going to pay anyways but with lesser cabin selection. It is really bad. Most everyone already has flights and hotels. People in December after the Maiden voyage already had activities onboard booked.

But January 2027 to March 2027 isn’t even released for the Adventure yet.

Or pick my cruise 10/22/26, loads of availability and still very good price! Would love to say hi! 😊

It’s difficult to say that because the shipyard really doesn’t exist as such. Meyer Werft who delivered the Treasure on time and only had a short delay on Wish but that was understandable due to Covid, took over production when Disney bought the half built ship. But it’s not in their usual yard. So it’s really a one time thing.

There have been news reports about people being hired from all over Europe to build the ship, so it’s not that they didn’t hire enough people. But it might have been difficult to find enough people and with enough skills for the money they were willing to pay.

The issue appears to be with the Wismar ran shipyard. Wonder if the Werft Papenburg one has a lot of generational employees. So the knowledge and man power is much greater. Where the Wismar shipyard appears to have a checkered past of success.

I assume Meyer created Wismar as a subsidiary company incase of a huge issue so it doesnt effect its parent company Mayer Werft.
