advanced dining reservations question

I have a question about the advanced dining reservations. What happens if I make a reservervation and can not show up for some reason. Do I get charged or do I get some sort of penalty on my dining plan. Not sure. You know how things can sometimes happen and you may not make it on time. I am worried about making these resevations and not being able to make it to the restaraunt in time.

You would only be charged if it were one of the restaurants where you have to leave your credit card as a deposit(ex. Cinderella's Castle) You really need to cancel if you can't make one of those adr's to avoid that fee. No, there would be no penalty to your plan. You use the credits as you want to. Then again, I would cancel as soon as you can so that someone else could possibly get a reservation! Hope this helps.

And remember that in order not to be charged for those restaurants that will penalize you for not showing, you need to cancel at least 48 hours prior to your reservation.

With so many people being disappointed to NOT get the ADR's they wanted I would certainly try and cancel any ADR you can't make. Hopefully someone else would be able to then enjoy the dining experience.
I just think its the right thing to do whether it "charged" or not!

The above are right--you will only be charged at one of the restaurants that require a credit card to hold the reservation. However, there are many people trying to get in, even at the last minute. As soon as you know that you can't keep a ressie, it is only polite to call and cancel. This will allow someone else to use "your" spot.

You misunderstood why I asked this question. I WOULD ALWAYS CANCEL AS SOON AS I KNEW I WOULD NOT MAKE IT! I just wanted to know what the time frame was to cancel
