advance purchase MVMCP?

DH and I are heading to WDW 11/5-11/10. We've been to the party many times, but never this early in the year. Do the 1st and 2nd party normally sell out? Is the 1st party more crowded, because it's the 1st of the year? I'd like to wait to purchase tix until we get there. We'll pick the better weather day, or skip it if its raining or too cold. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Two years ago we did the first party and it did sell out. I had bought our tickets in advance though.

We did the first Friday party in 2012 and I believe it was sold out. All the popular rides had significant waits.

We are targeting November 10th this year- it's already a few parties in but is the day before Veterans Day. Any thoughts on what we might be looking at crowd-wise?

I would assume weekdays are less crowded than Fri-Sun. But who knows if this 11/10 will sell out? Any answer is just a guess. Although the price has gone up significantly. If it's that important to attend then I would buy them now. I bought ours for Nov.15 the day they went on sale.

Ugh- which will probably lead to us not going. Nothing beats paying over $350 only to find a full party. We've gone in years' past to the Halloween party (empty in mid October) and then once to Christmas (first week of December) where there was also no crowd.
