We are going to the parks at the end of March. We have one child who is too small to ride many of the rides, especially at DHS. I know there is a play area open at Epcot during the festival so we plan to utilize that. At DAK, he will be happy watching animals and street shows. Any thoughts on activities for a 4 year old at DHS to keep him entertained while others ride attractions? He loves anything with wheels, if that helps.

Mickey and Minnie’s runaway railway would be a great distraction and I think has the ability to ride more than once. The frozen show is awesome (if that’s something he’d be in to seeing). Toy Story mania has replay ability as well.

If he likes Toy Story and BBQ, maybe do a special lunch or dinner just the two of you at Woodys Rodeo Roundup, great theme and takes a good portion of time 60-90 minutes.

Character meet and greets can eat up time as well. I hope this helps some!

There is a theater where they show Mickey vacation cartoons and an area where you can take pictures with scenes from the movie.
Would he enjoy the Disney Junior show? There are also a lot of good character meets around there.

He would love the DIsney Junior Dance and Play! We plan to go as a group with a lightning lane, but maybe we could also take him again standby. I will search out the character meets! We will certainly look for anything Cars or Toy Story related at all of the parks!

We are planning to use LLMP for Mickey and Minnie's runaway railway and the frozen show and Toy Story Mania, but we could also do them standby, thanks for the suggesting.

We are going to Round Up Rodeo for lunch!

Thanks for the suggestions!

My daughter used to love the pop up fountains at Epcot (pack a change of clothes). There's also a hedge maze in the back of the UK pavilion that's fun for littles. The Outpost between China and Germany has musical instruments you can play.

At AK don't miss the Boneyard playground / dig area.

When my (now high school) age son was little he used to love the Honey I Shrunk the Audience playground. I know that it’s long gone, but I think that it’s really important to give kids a place where they can run around and play in an unstructured manner - especially after asking them to wait in lines all day. The Boneyard at AK is awesome, and I think that Tom Sawyer’s island would have gotten a lot more use if it weren’t a pain to get to.

There's also the Beauty and the Beast show on Sunset Blvd. Outdoor theater. Also the Indiana Jones spectacular show!

If I remember correctly, there are some large-scale statues of Cars characters just past Rock 'n Roller Coaster that might be a fun place to hang out with him while some of the group is riding big stuff. I think there is also a car prop for photos outside the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant.

And if he needs out of the sun and crowds for a bit, the Baby Care Center is just to the left as you enter the park. They have baby stuff, of course, but also usually an area with preschool-sized furniture to just take a little break, have a snack, etc.

Just a thought, you might consider taking a ride on the skyliner and / or boat if the others are going to be occupied for a long enough period of time. They're technically transportation, but when my daughter was that age, the boats and monorails were some of her favorite "rides" and must-do "attractions" for us lol. That was pre-skyliner or I'm sure that would have topped her list.

Good idea! You could even skyliner over to Caribbean Beach and play on their playground for a bit.
