Our extended family visited Disney last week. Two adults tested positive the day after returning home. One more tested postive the next day and then a 4th one tested positive the next day. All fully boosted and on 3 different flights. None of the children tested positive, nor adults that had COVID earlier in the year. All are feeling miserable with fever, aches.

Just an fyi for those planning a trip in near future.

The Omicron variants are simply far more transmissible.

That's unfortunate and put a nasty postscript to your trip, I'm sure.

I do hope everyone recovers speedily with no long-covid.

Hope they all do well soon! I now more people know who have had covid recently than in the initial 2020 deluge. Only 1 person then. Fortunately, this seems less deadly by far, but unfortunately, it is way more transmissable.

Did you test just to test or were people feeling yucky? So many stories of people who tested positive with no symptoms.

Hope you are all better soon.

Probably because you've somewhat more control over how many people you encounter.

You can pack enough food and drinks for the drive and drive straight through, stopping only for gas.
There's nothing in the OP's post that suggests they flew or drove, not to mention that their transportation may not have factored into them catching covid either.

We were there last week too and I caught it...have never had it before (I believe). My 2 year old and hubs (who had it earlier this year) are still both negative. We tested all three of us once we got home and I came up as a blazing positive. Had a sore throat the night before we flew home but chalked it up to allergies.

The OP said that they were on "3 different flights".

Interesting! My daughter and I both had it January and have also both been negative while my son is sick. We have not been masking around him but so far neither of us has caught it again despite the close exposure. My son never tested positive back in January so it's crazy that he never caught it from us then but got it now.

The current variant, BA.2, is even more transmissible than Omicron. That might explain it.
