Adults positive for COVID a few days after trip

Interesting! My daughter and I both had it January and have also both been negative while my son is sick. We have not been masking around him but so far neither of us has caught it again despite the close exposure. My son never tested positive back in January so it's crazy that he never caught it from us then but got it now.
It really is. My hubs was pretty sick in Feb when he caught it but it took close to two weeks for him to show up as positive. He just continually complained about a really bad sore throat and was developing cold symptoms. I thought he was just dealing with a man cold lol. My son and I never caught it from him either and he only started isolating from us once he turned positive so plenty of exposure time. I work in a high school and never caught it from any of my colleagues or students either when it was going around in waves. So weird!

My dh tested + a few days after returning; the rest of us remained negative. He wore an N95 whenever in indoor lines or big crowds but we did eat in restaurants.

It's out there, everywhere, it is up to each person to do what makes them feel comfortable.

The OP said that they were on "3 different flights".

But I think she was saying that the families were not traveling together but were on three different flights ... so the likelihood they all got it points more to where they were together ... at WDW.

Reminder: Masks are not effective in preventing infections for the wearer unless they are certified n95, and worn properly.

Most masks are not. Almost all clothe style masks are not n95.

Surgical masks, cloth masks only help prevent transmission from an infected individual to others. They do not protect you at all.

Our extended family visited Disney last week. Two adults tested positive the day after returning home. One more tested postive the next day and then a 4th one tested positive the next day. All fully boosted and on 3 different flights. None of the children tested positive, nor adults that had COVID earlier in the year. All are feeling miserable with fever, aches.

Just an fyi for those planning a trip in near future.
Yikes! So sorry to hear about 2 of your family getting covid. Hope all is well. FWIW: My husband and I Always got sick at disney, usually on the last day of our vacation. We got chills, fever, sore throat, etc and had a miserable trip home each time. This was before covid, so heaven only knows what crud we picked up while at disney. There has to be many, many types of viruses and illnesses in disney due to the huge amount of people from all over. Disney is the only place we've ever gotten sick like that each time. Get well:)

I’m closing this thread. Please remember any posting about Covid on the boards has to be theme park and travel specific with no facts or arguments.
OP, I hope you all feel better soon!
