I want to get some rollerblades. Any suggestions on which ones are good and what I should look for? I will use them around our sub and the roller rink. I want a good pair, but don't want to spend a fortune on them. I got a pair a couple of years ago that were junk and ended up throwing them out, haven't gotten the nerve to try again.

Thanks!

We are big on rollerblading in our house. My older ds learned in 3 days and plays roller hockey. Him and my husband have Missions, which are hockey skates that have metal chassis. You probably dont need something like that for just around the neighborhood/roller rink. something liek I have would probably work well for you. They are female hockey skates. I got them from Modells. They lace up all the way and have a clip up top around the ankle. i like the clip because I feel like they get tight around my ankles. I am not sure of the brand name but heres some tips on what i look for.

Laces up at least MOST of the way
Rounded fabric front (hockey skates)
Replaceable wheels (rollerblades from walmart usually do not allow this)
Comfort (If it squeezes your toes in the store itll get worse when you skate)
Brakes on at least one of the shoes (if you are used to blades with brakes its hard to learn to skate without them!)

I hope that helps?

Thanks! It has been a long time since I bought my old ones I loved. Darn kids made my feet get bigger, along with everything else!!
