Adult only trip and Hoop Dee Doo

I booked cat 1... just hope I'm not IN the show! :scared: One trip I got picked for a part in the World Showcase Players show, yikes I hate being a spectacle but there I was and my family thoroughly enjoyed my discomfort. It was also a cold Feb. day so I had put on an extra coat over my sweatshirt and fleece so I look like the Pillsbury doughboy in the pictures my DH took :sad2:

:dogdance:

Yes! Absolutely go adults only. We've gone every trip, and all but one trip has been just DW and myself. It's a very fun show. It's not quiet, though! If you want an elegant, quiet dinner, make a reservation somewhere else on another night---but still go to HDDR!

Ha, my DW thinks the same way. Here's what I always tell her (for HDDR or anything else at WDW) - if you get picked it's just your family / friends and a bunch of strangers you will never see again and who won't remember your face in 30 minutes, so go be silly and have fun with it. If anything you create a fun memory for your family to look back on.

Oh and my tip for HDDR (which I love - with kids or without), is to eat light before going. Between the chicken, ribs, beer, cornbread and other fixins you can fill up pretty fast.

Once you book Category 1, you'll never go back to Cat 3...just sayin'.

As I said, I booked Category 3 because I wanted it, I was very happy with it and have no interest in Category 1.

I do not want to be close to the stage having to look up and be looking around to the other activity. I've been seated close to other "dinner/shows" and I enjoy it better when I can take it all in.

I do not want to be among tables where kids may be getting up, dancing and moving around.

I have no interest in being part of the show, but we did enjoy the entertainers coming to us, providing us with instruments and it being more personal.

I want to enjoy the show the entire time, and we did.

Another plus was with no movement where we were, our servers stayed close by and everything was taken care of immediately.

I'm glad for the folks who want to sit up close, they provide entertainment for our family. And I hope every show is sold out so I would never be moved downstairs.

Subbing. This was not on my radar until finding out DH gets a 50% CM discount. Just booked it. $81 total including gratuity (though we always leave more) for unlimited beer and sangria and BBQ (which we love); category 1. We don't like country music at all but DH loves the old west. Hoping I made a good choice.

We are mid life crisis vacationers and we always book CAT 1. You get more attention from the giggling girl that way.
