ADRs, Touring Plans, Free Dining, What?

Sounds like a great plan! I can't believe it's so close...

Isn't the last week before you go the longest - ever?! I hope you have the BEST time! :cheer2:

Thanks! I have to work this weekend so I think it is going to go pretty fast.

 Just wanted to do a banana dance for you!!

I know you're getting all excited! I chose Friday as our "free day" too! I'm careful not to over-plan...and truthfully, if it weren't for ADRs, I probably wouldn't plan anything other than the park-days based on touring plans!

:thumbsup2 Same here. I don't like being held to a set schedule. Everything can change except these darn ADRs.

You are doing great planning out your days.

I have our ADRs planned and on what days we'll do the parks but that's about it. We know what rides and attractions we want to do/see but that's as far a it goes. With having 2 teens and a 5 yr. old, it's hard to plan too much in advance. The teens don't always want to get out of bed and 5 yr. old just doesn't always cooperate for whatever reason.

We will be in some of the same parks on the same days. We will be in HS on Monday, MK on Wednesday, and Epcot on Friday, so we may end up see a lot of each other.
Right now Tuesday is the only day that we don't have anything planned so I'm hoping I can make it to the Meet N Greet at the pool. :cool1: Maybe I can convince my family that we need a day to hang out at the pool. :cool2:

One more week!!!! :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

I gave you my cell #, right. Call or text me anytime. We can meet up at a ride or for a snack. I'm going to be flexible. Nothing but the ADRs are set in stone.

Just got back from POR. Recommend the garlic mashed potatoes. They were my favorite thing at the food court. Loved using the boat to get to downtown Disney.

I concur that TSM fast passes will be gone within the first hour. You've got to head for that one first.

Welcome back!! Thanks for the tip on the taters! Can't wait to read all about it!!!

Yes, you did. When you see a # with a 404 area code, that will/should be me! ;)

Hi Lazydoxy66,

I read about the Baggelini on your pre-trip report and ordered mine. I loved it. I was able to fit two ponchos, my camera and all the rest of the stuff in it.
Your plans sound great and you are going to have a wonderful time. The transportation there is really good. One mistake I made was buying too food and drinks at the grocery store. We were not in out room long enough to eat all of it.

I have enjoyed your pre-trip report and can't wait to read your trip report when you get back.

2. Epcot by rope drop, grab FP for Mission Space and head to Test Track!
We didn't need a MS FP once last week, TT and Soarin though definitely :thumbsup2

Grab a Fast Pass for TSM and ride what we didn't ride the night before.
You must must must get there for rope drop, go to TSM first, grab FP's and get in the standby queue. It gets crazy busy and breaks down a lot but is an absolute must do!

FP for Splash Mountain or PotC? Advice on this one please.
POC doesn't have a FP. With FP's make sure you get them as soon as poss and remember you can use them late :thumbsup2

Just got back from POR.
Me too :rotfl2:

I had to read over your itinerary again... am I reading right? You are not doing a MNSSHP?!

Steve and I had the best time last year! I have always loved the Christmas parties, but the Halloween one knocks them out of the park!

Thanks for your input. Definitely helpful.

I explained it to Doug and he wasn't interested. I am thinking that if I go back next year with my BFF, she and I can go then.

I've learned a lot from other DISers while scouring these boards. Here's my list of DISrules.

  1. You must take lots of pictures. When you think you have enough, take more!
  2. Along with standard pictures you must have food porn!
  3. You must wear some form of Lime Green to identify yourself as a DISer!
  4. Acknowledge your DISer buddies, and embarrass your DH in the process.
  5. Flash your 'special button' shamelessly at CMs.
  6. Help the people with the 'big honkin' strollers'. It only stands to reason that if I can get them on a bus quicker then I get there quicker.
  7. Understand and use FPs. Take them when offered.
  8. Be pleasant and understanding - with bad people and my DH.
  9. You must have a Dole Whip and the School Bread.
  10. You must complete a TR upon return! It will contain the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help me Walt!

Well kids, we are in the final few days before the grand adventure. Looks like Doug and I may encounter Fay's ugly sister, Hanna, on the drive down. I've got my ponchos and umbrella. Nothing going to stop us now! Wasn't that a song in the '80s?
Thank you to everyone who has answered any of my questions and to all of you who have ventured with me on my little pre-journey. It's been fun and I hope I can do us proud with a good TR when I get back.
I wish everybody who is going this next week a safe and wonderful trip. To those of you left behind, keep the DIS in good standing with your PTRs and TRs. I'll probably never get caught up when I get back.

Good bye for now!
:flower3:

Have a great time and remember to bring several pairs of shoes as wet feet in WDW is B.A.D.!

I've just read your ptr and you did a great job on it. I'm so jealous of you as we have until January 09 until we go. I appreciate all your entries as I have written several ideas down and plan on using them.

Have fun and I can't wait to read all about your trip!!!
