ADR's for group of 13 and credit card hold?

We have a group of 13 that I will be making ADR's for. I know that I need to call "Group Dining" to reserve and thought I read somewhere that you need to hold a group reservation with a credit card? Could someone let me know if this it true or not? if so what the cancellation rules?

I've booked for groups as large as 22 and have never had to have a cc to hold reservations except for the ones that you generally do, like FDP, CRT, and a couple of others. That may change when the dining reservations come up online though.
