ADR when booking through TA

I've booked a room for Feb 2014 and am curious about the process for ADR when you book through TA vs Disney reservations. I've got confirmation for my room but no reservation number came with that.

Does the TA make ADR for me, or will Disney let me make them? I know I've got until August before this is even an issue, but I'm curious.

I am currently booked through a TA and was able to make my ADRs directly online with Disney. As to whether a TA could make the ADRs for you if you preferred, that I don't know as I was not interested in having that done. Hope that helps.

You should have received a reservation number from your TA.

Some travel agencies have their own "confirmation numbers" that are just reference numbers for them. Or on their paperwork that they give to you, they just don't include the Disney confirmation number. If you ask your TA for the Disney confirmation number, he or she should have no problem giving it to you especially if you tell them its for the purpose of ADRs. A lot of people expect TAs to make ADRs for them, but TAs don't receive commission on them so it's really a waste of their time. So I think they'd be more than happy to give you whatever info you need since you are doing them yourself!
