ADR System Upgrade - History

So what's the word lately. After all that excitment this past Monday, even that link in the Dining Faqs page being there for a while, is there any more news. Is it on hold again idefinitely, or is there any hope that the 26th might still be it?

I booked my trip with a travel agent code because a good friend of ours is a travel agent and gives us their codes took book our trips. I got an email via the disney travel agents thing and this is what it says:

Advance dining reservations for your Clients visiting the Walt Disney World® Resort are available on the Web! You now can use your computer to easily book dining at most restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort, and you can use this service at any time that is convenient to you, saving you time.

Online reservations are now available for dining on or after May 26, 2009, and may be made up to 90 days in advance. Just visit disneytravelagents.com to get started.

I just called the dining reservations to ask them about this. The CM told me that they online reservations are going to start soon, but she said the whole 120 day thing is totally a rumor. Who are we supposed to believe and why is everyone telling all of us something different?! It's very frustrating!

Welcome to the wonderful world of Disney.

It seems that not only does the left hand not know what the right is doing, but in this case the left hand does not even know there IS a right hand!

Which is a shame, as Disney has many internal methods for communication of accurate information to all its cast members - if only everyone would use them consistently!

Online booking would rule! It would be so much easier to watch for openings and cancellations. I hope that they get it going for the public soon.

Just a tidbit...after we checked in at SSR the other day I asked for a copy of all the ADRs I had made and the ADRs for before May 26 printed fast, but the ADRs for those made AFTER May 26 took longer because since it is a new program there are more steps for the cast member to follow making the process a bit longer.

Thought I'd pass that info along to you all.

Does anyone know the web address for the new ADR's online. I thought I saw it somewhere and can not find it anymore. I know it doesn't work yet but would be nice to know it so I can keep checking it. My ADR date is coming up and I want to be prepared.

Any help would be great, an address or even where to find it on the Disney site.

Called last night to make two ADR's. CM was thoroughly confused and booked me for a "Character Breakfast" that I later discovered is not a Character Breakfast at all. Have been on hold for about 25 minutes now to see if I can get it straightened out.

They removed that verbage and link last week, the very day that free dining dates started booking and the computer crashed on and off all day......

I haven't stumbled across any updates since then. Anyone heard anything????

Just spent an hour on hold and then was helped by a great CM. He said the system is having a lot of bugs worked out. When corrected it will hopefully find and purge duplicate reservations. Many people are booking 2 and 3 dining reservations for the same time and then not showing up. This leads to people being shut out when trying to make reservations.

I read on another board that there is "talk" about a new online ADR system coming up in early July. (the time I need to make my ADRs) The poster mentioned there was a lot of talk about it over here on the restaurant boards. I'll be darned if I can find the threads. Could someone please post a link (or 2) to where this is being talked about. I'm assuming phone ressies will still be accepted too? TIA!

OK! I called today to book ADRs for a friend and more things where showing no availability then available! I asked the CM how thats possible she told me they are poplar places! I said all of them??? I went through a huge list! I had to change around days and times and places etc.. Big mess! I don't even call for my own until tommorrow!
