"Free Dining". Anyplace you can get an ADR is popular.

Try and call earlier. Rumor has it they only release a certain # of tables per booking day.The dining line opens at 7a.m so by later in the morning most of the popular places will be full for the day. When you call for yours tomorrow I would not be surprised if you can change some of your friends to better times or days if you can get through early enough.

Cool! I will definitely take you up on that! I had called real early first but with the new system they ask your address and thats the only thing i didn't get from my friend so I had to hang up call the friend and call back!

I called just now to switch a reservation for June 6th. Not that I want to shoot lighter fluid on a fire, but I noticed that the announcement said that Disney resort guests can make reservations "for their entire stay" :) Not even a 10 day limit.

When I finally made it to the queue, it said the approximate wait time was 13 minutes. It was between 13-14 minutes, which was pleasantly accurate.

Yes...I heard that this AM also. However CM's are only able to book until Sept. 3rd today. Which is today+10. The message is very misleading.

i was searching around on the Disney site at a package description for our upcoming trip here

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/vacation-packages/2009/dining/

and i have quoted below this description about dining... i hope this doesnt mean they will shorten reservations even more....

Please note that, due to the pending implementation of a new dining reservation system, the booking window could be shortened from our standard 90 days prior to your visit.

Whew! I'm glad I got my ressies in yesterday morning!

i wish June 21st would hurry up and get here, i dont want to be stuck not being able to make ressie's till closer to the trip.... can you imagine 60days out or 30 :scared1::scared1::scared1:

That is not even a funny thought!!!!!!!!!

The window has been that short in the past - and people actually survived! Will wonders never cease?

I don't see shortening the window further having a huge effect on being able to get ADRs, but I'm sure it won't help the anxiety of those eager to get them done. :)

About the only practical effect I can think of is that it compresses the time frame of those "first day" people with those who call more casually to make/change ADRs inside the window, so call volume might increase, but a portion of my brain cells are arguing that it actually doesn't change anything. Another portion of my brain cells is telling me to get back to work... :)

Anyways, I wonder if that text was simply left over from the early days when they were starting to implement and 180 days was no longer true, and then they just went and changed the number of days instead of removing it...

My DH just called to make ADRs for our June (23 - 26) trip and was told that "in a few days" you will be able to go on-line and make your own ADRs.

BTW he had no luck and only made one for CA Grill on 6/25 at 9:45pm :scared1:

Anyone else hear about this?

I'm one of those that is finally over her ADR anxiety! ;)

And I can see pushing it back to 60 or 30 days would decrease the volume of reservations being made for about a month or so and give the new system time to "ramp up". But I can totally understand people being upset if they planned on calling in for ADRs on a certain date and find out that it is pushed back without much notice - because other than this note, I haven't heard about the ADR date being pushed back at all.

And as for the quote - it does specifically say the "window could be shortened from our standard 90 days prior", so I'm pretty sure this is a new statement. I hope it's only a temporary change!!

I think the fear is that the shorter the ADR window, the less advantage us pre-planners have in getting our desired ADRs. I do think there could be an opposite effect, though - if the ADR window is closer to the final payment window for packages, there might be fewer people making ADRs for tentative bookings.

Hey my ADR booking window starts tomorrow we cant make the reservations till like 4Pm will

Ohanas , Le Cellier and crystal palace likely to be sold out

I can't tell you for certain, but from what I am hearing it is getting to be almost impossible to secure a booking at CRT, Le Cellier, Ohana, etc or the more popular restaurants, esp during free dining. Good luck tom, let us know how you do:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes
