I was able to book all my ressies for 3/21-3/28. I asked my CM "just for fun" to check CRT. I wasnt really planning this ressie because I didnt want the hassel of calling at 180 days at 7:00 a.m. I asked her to check 3/26 and they had several tables at different times available. What a surprise! Now I am so excited!:woohoo:

Hmph. I called this evening (after seeing the update on this thread) and was told that they were still not making reservations past March 22nd (we arrive the 23rd). Guess I'll have to call back again.

I'm with the folks who think that a flat 90-day window for everything is a good idea - 180 days was always far too long to plan to be honest. As long as the same dates apply to all, no one loses out at all, you just phone on a different date. It will also help people who have to plan their vacations at shorter notice.

By the way, Disney's official explanation (which I assume there is no problem with posting, please remove if it's an issue) is:

With the growing pattern of Guests booking their dining, recreation and tour experiences closer to their travel dates as they finalize their vacation itineraries, we will be adjusting the booking window for those experiences to a 90-day period, effective December 23, 2008.

Of course, the slightly cynical voice inside me notes that it can't hurt that they can now adjust the theme park hours at 90 days out, instead of 180, as that won't now break any dining reservations...

Not to be a doubter and I know Disney was moving into the direction of the 90's but can I ask where you saw the "official" explanation?

Im a fan of changing it back to 90 days, its far easier to plan with park hours and such :)

Anyone have any luck this morning?

I tried to book a tour last night for March 24th, we arrive on the 21st and was told that they couldn't book past the 22nd yet. I just called this morning and got the same song and dance

If at first you don't succeed, try try again! I got the same thing this am. I immediately dialed back and got a nice CM who made all my ressies from Mar 23 - Mar 29!!!   :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Thanks - I did call back and was able to book the tour I wanted
Princess Storybook in Epcot is still saying not available to book. I hope they aren't changing this character meal

Yeah, we'll have to be patient. It will probably take a few days for all the CM's to be on board with the update.

I also hope they update the WDW website soon. I checked last night and the dining reservations still say 180 days.:rolleyes1

You're welcome. I read that some of the restaurants aren't added available yet, so just call back every day on those.:confused3

Well folks, it looks like the new ADR computer system is finally coming together at Disney. :cool1: I for one am glad that this thread was created and appreciate all the posts that everyone put on here. It made (from what I can tell) for great therapy to a lot of us who are “PrePlanners” and gave us something to do besides bombard them with calls. :surfweb:
Looks like we are also going to hit the 100 page mark on this thread. :woohoo:

What shall we talk about now? :rotfl2:

I'm so thrilled about this news, it's made my Christmas! :yay:

I can make my parents ADR's for them Saturday and ours (we join them 6 days later) next week, woo hoo!!

Actually a thought, does anyone know if I book a table for a larger number than included in the reservation confirmation (to clarify, my parents can make their adr's earlier than ours and using the 90 + 10 rule, I could effectively book an adr for a larger table as we'll be there to join them by then). Really want a table at Crystal Palace for dd's brithday. Or is that not allowed??

Thanks for any advice you can give me on that question. :)

I've never had a problem booking a table for a larger # than was on our reservation. As long as the ADR is in the name of a guest who is within their booking window, you should be fine. :thumbsup2

And I'm another one who is happy to go back to the 90-day booking window! :yay: (180 days was just too much pressure for me!)

Finally some answers....At least now we all know where we stand and my main concern has been put to ease as it's fair for everyone....:yay:

Akershus isn't in the system yet. :sad2: She said to try back later today.

Nope i couldn't get it either as of 8:10EST this morning. i was told they close the lines at 8pm tonight and 9pm tomorrow night. she told me to try back early next week ... yeah right i'll be calling a few times today, and tomorrow and again till i get it... I'm not missing this...

The CM i spoke with was able to book my O'hanas for 3/24 though. So there's another i can check off my list. But i had a choice of 5:15 for the earliest and the next one wasn't till 7:15 which surpised me since today was the first day of the window although thoes +10 people could have booked it...

Ok this is my first time posting....;) and my first time planning a trip to DISNEY!!!! I have been reading everones messages about the ADR changes.I am also just glad to know what is going on. My 180 was Monday.

My question is why do some of you want to know the park hours before you make your dining reservations??

Thank you from a First timer:wizard:

Knowing the park hours make it a lot easier to decide which park to tour on what day. That determines where and when people make their ADRs.
