ADR System Upgrade - History

This thread is a huge help! I've always done the 180 days and just decided to go in June (less then 180 days out). I was so bummed that I might not get any reservations. Luckily!!! This changed! I am not opposed to the change, I like it. Park Hrs are not even avail for June yet.

I was so confused b/c I called and she's like "Its not up yet" NO reason why and I was so lost. Of course, Check DIS, thanks ya'll!!!

Does anyone know if booking the cabanas at the GF now fall under the 90 plus 10 rule??

They used to be 30 day, and I know now they're 90 - just not sure if the plus 10 rule applies.

Thanks.

Does anyone know when the ADR changed from 180 days to 90 days. We just came back in DEC and were able to book 180 out but called the other day for our MAY trip and was told to call back in February

It only recently changed...maybe the last couple of weeks. It is 90 days out though instead of 180.

I have been reading posts about the change to 90 days for booking ADR's. I thought great, this gives me more time to plan. But I have just read a post of someone booking today for June. What is the story?

Thankyou. I'm assuming from what I have been reading that these will then revert to 90 day windows for bookings after this date like everything else? I'm hoping to book two of these.

For anyone who may be confused by the recent move, this thread was becoming a debate on the virtues of trying to book your ADR's early.

The poster also had an independent thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2050212 regarding the same subject.

Rather than have the debate two places, we decided to keep all related discussion in one thread.

Thanks for understanding :goodvibes:

Why oh why can't the cm's get their story right? I just got off the phone with themto make my 90 ADR and they told me they could not book past 3/22. I was on hold for 10 minutes. I even told her I gotan email from akl concierge stating it was 90 days. We are having a split stay so I needed to make myother ADR

Just wondering whether anyone has heard anything from Disney lately about when May hours are likely to be released . . . I sent an email asking over three weeks ago but they never answered, and I am dying to start planning properly!!!!!!!
:thumbsup2 Thanks!

I would email my choices to the concierge and have them make them if you can't.

I know that a lot of us have been wondering about the May hours and the new ADR system. Well, most of us know by now that the ADR system has now been reverted back to 90 days in advance. I decided to email Disney and ask about the hours (and the new ADR system which I didn't know about when I sent them the email). By the way, I hope you guys and gals get a chuckle out of my email to them.

Here is my email and their official response. I love how they answer one thing but not another.

Dear Lisa,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort.

currently possible for dining arrangements to be made online, guests may

Okay guys, I am starting to hyperventilate because the May and June
hours are STILL not posted AND you haven't implemented the new dining
reservation system yet.

I find myself looking at the website several times a day. Calling
Disney Dining at least once a week.

My palms are sweating! My head is swimming and it hurts real bad! I
have a terrible rash all over my body! I can't concentrate on anything
for a substantial length of time! Disney is putting my health at risk
here!

Seriously, I do wonder when you will have the May and June hours loaded
and when you'll have the new Disney Dining reservation system up and
running. It's really hard to plan my vacation days without them.

Hope my joke made your day and I hope to hear from someone soon!

Lisa

My boss called yesterday to book ADR's for April and was told that without a Resort Confirmation number she could only book prior to 90 days...then when she got it, she was told she could book 90 days plus how long of her stay WITH NO LIMIT! Not 90 + 10

:lmao: :rotfl: :thumbsup2

I'm confused again! LOL I just got off the phone with a CM to change my AKL room from standard to pool. I decided on a whim to ask if the 90 day thing will be permanent. He said that you can only book your ADRs 90 days in advance right now and that when the new ADR system is completely finished and updated it will go back to 180 days. I thought 90 day was permanent but I guess it will just be like that while they're working out the system. Anyone else heard that or did I get a confused CM :rotfl:

At least they sent you a reply. We sent a dozen emails about May hours and have never had a response. Have even been hung up on by a CM. They don't realize for some of us doing other things in May the hours are a really big deal. Switching 4 flights could cost us $500.00. Ugh! Still keeping my fingers crossed that they release them soon!

Yes! When I booked my Bounceback offer in August that is exactly what the CM told me would happen when they roll it out and when it was done completely it would revert back to 180 but IDK I guess we shall see! She told me by the time I would be at my 180days in Feb that it should be back to 180so we shall see! :headache:

God, I can't imagine what a madhouse reservations will be when/if the revert back to 180 for all the people who are already past 180 days.

With the window for making ADRs now at 90 days, what is the time period for HDDR? I would love to eat there, and get a Category 1 table. Thanks for any help. :)
