ADR System Upgrade - History

I know I'm the dumbest girl in the classroom:rotfl:

Just got to ask a few questions.

Our stay will beginning the eight of May.

My booking window will open at 02/06/2009 ?
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I received an IT planner from the GF.

Would you use it instead of making the call yourself?

I have several reservations on my wish list that require a CC.
Do the IT planners need my CC number to book them for me?

To be honest the only reservations I would worry about making as soon as the dining line opens would be CRT or a reservation for a holiday time, possibly Le Cellier. Other than those there is no way I would get up at 4 am to make a dining reservation. And I have never had trouble getting what I want.

I have had the most random it seems like, restaurants unavailable for the time I wanted. For our last trip, I had to book Artist Point an hour and five min earlier than I wanted... Kona Cafe way later then I wanted... and I had issues with WCC and the Garden View Tea Room. This was at about 5-7AM pac time because it takes me a while to wake up and I didn't think these restaurants were urgent...

DUH DAYNA... IT'S FREE DINING. I am going to make sure I am up and calling at 4AM... DL or not, I will be annoyed to eat at LTT during MNSSHP at 8PM due to my laziness 90 days prior.

One ressie per day after the 90+10 day mark... that really takes a couple of minutes at least. :)

I think some folks are just getting a little too worked up over the 90 day change. I have been reading on these threads that people are calling for ADR's in March and are getting what they want. Everything will be fine. Even with the 4/3 deals and most likely free dining later this year, a lot of people are just not traveling due to the poor economy. And if they do visit WDW, things like dining (table service) etc may be the first things they skip out on to save a little $$$.

ITA!!!

I prefer the 90 day window. With 180 days there are too many changes to crowd calendars, park hours, etc. which leads to more ADR changes which is a PIA to me.

i like the 90 days .it give me more time to make up my mind.the more i read the more i change.

Good morning,

I always thought that Chef Mickey's was a restaurant that you can book 180 days away. I thought you had to in order to get a decent time and date. However, I have been calling since I was 180 days out, and they kept saying that they aren't taking ADRs for Chef Mickey's in June yet and to keep trying. I just called again, and this time I was told not to call until March.

I saw the announcement that said that all ADRs will be 90 days now. I thought that was all of them except Cindy's Table, Victoria and Albert's and Chef Mickey's.

We want to eat a dinner there not a breakfast. Should I keep calling or should I wait until March which will be 90 days out??

Please help me. This is one the whole family wants to go to, and we have never been before.

Thanks

Keep calling. Chef Mickey's and CRT are still on 180 day. I had a Chef Mickey's reservation for June that I just cancelled two days ago, so I know they are booking them. We switched our trip to May, so I booked one for May 2 days ago when I cancelled the June one with no problems.

I made a Chef Mickey ADR yesterday for June. They are taking ADRs 180 days out for Chef Mickey's, Cinderella Royal Table and V&A...nothing else. I did have to call three times since their automated phone management system disconnected the call twice before a CM was even able to pick-up the call.

Do not keep calling unless you are looking for June 19 or earlier.

Chef Mickey's, CRT, and Victoria & Albert's are all available through June 19.

I am going to move this to the ADR Sticky at the top of this forum. The first post will explain the odd situation for those three restaurants.

Wow, I just got back from our awesome overseas vacation and then read an email from my TA that informed me that she was able to make reservations for CRT for me! YAY! We are going in June but then she said that she couldn't make my CM ADR because they are only 180 days until June 19th. I had asked her to make my CM for June 22nd. She also explained to me what was going on and that most ADRs are for 90 days.

Anyhow I called up to check my CRT ADR and moved it to OOP (she put it on the DDP and I didn't want to use up 2 TS). I then decided to move around my ADR's and booked CM. Got a decent time there were a few available to choose from for 6/16. Anyhow, the CM I spoke with said that the 90 day rule is not permanent to me. She told me to call back in Feb because once the new system is up they will be going back to 180 days. So who knows how long the 90 day rule will be. I'm totally confused but know that my 90 day mark is now 3/18.

I work in IT and if my system was this far behind my butt would be toast!

Anyhow that is my story! Has anyone else been told by a CM to check back because the 90 days may change back to 180 days?

Maybe we just eat at odd times. Either that or you have some rotten luck! ;) I can not imagine having a problem getting in to WCC at the time I wanted. I was actually able to get a ressie there for New Years Eve (tonight) at 6:30 about 45 days out. We ended up cancelling our trip but I was completely surprised to get in at all, let alone at a decent dinner time.

Good luck with your ressies.

And I made your reservation for you!!!! I remember you telling me the phone system gave you a hard time!!!

:)

Morning All!

I got through right away this morning without a wait. I made all of my reservations and got everything at the time I wanted. I also asked about Le Chefs de France which isn't currently listed on the 2009 DDP brochure. Two different agents told me it IS included on the dining plan so if anyone is wondering, there's your answer! :) I made a back up ressie of Le Cellier just in case. I was surprised I got it because I did that on my third call about 20 minutes after 7. So far I am liking the new ADR system! :) Now it is time for bed! ;)

FYI, when I called back to make the back up ADR, the man on the phone refused to make any reservations for March 30. He told me he was not allowed to do that yet. I tried to tell him I just made some for the same week, but he refused. I quickly hung up and got someone else. Why aren't all agents informed? Did he not check his work email or something? lol

What is a back up ADR??

You are certainly correct that not all CM's are informed!! It's very sad and until I get a new job I won't say much more than that but I don't think this is how Walt wanted it!!! :(

Just called and got all my reservations that i wanted no problems. even LeCellier, was not on hold ,got right through. Alot easier!!!:cool1:
