ADR System Upgrade - History

There has been a system capacity issue that wasn't allowing CM's to book past June 19th. Don't know your dates, but this might be your problem.

I assume May (23-30, off prop @ Bonnet Creek) is still unavailable, then?

I know the math isn't that hard but after this debacle, counting days in a month to, from, around, on, over, and about our arrival date is hurting my head.

We do have CM...but I hope to snag a couple more.

Ohhh -- n/m--I think I answered my own question. Hopefully I have some brain cells left for Christmas morning!

I wasn't able to make our June Chef Mickey's ressie this morning either. We are at 180 days today and when I called I was told nothing beyond 6/19 too! When they finally do open the window, I think it will bea complete nightmare!

http://www.pscalculator.net/pscalc.php

use the drop boxes for the date you want reservations (like 3/23/2009) and hit calculate...chart below will show you when the 180 is, and scroll down a little to see when the 90 day is.

That's why the PP looking for 3/25 couldn't get any reservations...the "90 day" mark for 3/25 will be Christmas day (so you'll probably be good to go on 12/26:thumbsup2 )

EDITTED TO ADD: Great minds think alike, Lorelei...must have been posting at same time!

hey we're staying at Bonnet creek also. but in march you can't book till 90 days out from the day you want to ADR. so i wanted 2 for 3/23 so i got thoes b/c today i'm in my 90 day window, tomorrow i will have to call back to book my ADR for 3/24, and then on 12/26 i'll be able to book 3/25 and 3/26 and so on. So you won't be able to book till 90 days out ... the way i understand it that window is sticking for now...

Lilyfrog-
If you are arriving on property on 3/28, you should be able to book now...your 90 day date is 12/28, plus the 10 days since you are staying on property, makes it 12/18...

Correct me if I'm wrong anyone....I think Lilyfrog is good to go to make her ADR's!!

OOPS!!! I didn't read your post right...sorry!! You can call on 12/28!!!

Yup, assuming I did it right (and that is a generous assumption at this point with all I am juggling this week), I plugged in my dates and got Feb 22 (:scared1: ).

Just a couple of weeks ago I went to check my 180 day window and panicked because I missed it (Nov 24). :rotfl: Now it seems I have plenty of time. Maybe. For now. At this moment.

Ok .... Just got off the phone with Disney Dining , Wonderful Dolores advised me also that it is 90 days starting NOW ..... So I have to get up Saturday morning at 7am and make the mad call to get all of the ADR's we want ..... Let the CRAZINESS begin ... Everyone GOOD LUCK :dance3:

Just to clarify, the "plus 10" doesn't allow you to make ADRs 10 days before your 90 days from check in date. Plus 10 means that 90 days from your check-in date you can make ADRs for up to 10 days of your trip.

No, it means she can call on her 90 day mark and make ADRs for up to 10 days after that. So if she is staying for 7 days, she would be able to make all 7 days worth of ADRs when she calls on the first day if she is staying onsite. HTH

Talked to them this morning and was told to check back at tend of week for April bookings...

On a side note, i cant believe this is taking so long....as an IT manager, no system upgrade or replacement should allow the active system to be off line this long. The new system is up and running in development environments while they work the kinks out and then migrate over to production...all this happens while the existing system is up and running. If DIsney was making money taking orders from this system, there is no way it would be months and months behind and off line. This impacts public interaction and affects customer satisfaction........somebody dropped the ball on this one !!:headache:

just a thought...way, way back when the "new system" was announced, and they quit taking 180 day ressies as they were implementing the change over, etc. there was an explanation that showed up on several websites that said once the new system was in place they'd have 90 day ressies for awhile...this seems to be exactly what has happened. Perhaps this was the plan all along.

OK, so based on the calculator and what I've read I should be able to make my ADR's on Sunday 12/28?

Hello again,

Yes, it is true as many are reporting... as of today reservations can be made 90 days out (with the +10 rule applicable for all Disney resort guests). Hopefully this is good new for many of you who are waiting.
;)

When I call to make my ressies, what information do I give them? (This is my first trip to Disney) Do I just tell them where we want to eat and a time frame of when I want to eat and go from there or do they tell me what times are available and I choose? Also, we want to eat at TRex but I think I read that we can't make reservations there, is that true?

*The DIS has been such a help in my trip planning so thanks to everyone!!:worship:*
