Do we know that T-Rex will be taking ressies that far out?? If so, great!! We're going in May and I'll be calling Jan. 5 too!

Hello, this is my first post and I had a quick question about making reservations for dining. I purchased the Deluxe dining plan for my honeymoon and first trip to Disneyworld in March.

I tried to call and make my reservations but they only let me book up too 3/22. They told me that they cannot take any reservations past that until mid-end January and im worried that the restaraunts I am trying to reserve will be all booked up at that time.

We are doing a signature restaraunt for all the dinners, and was hoping someone on this board had a little clarification or time frame when I will be able to book. Six weeks seems like it will be cutting it pretty close and I just want to have it all planned out for our first trip.

So I logged in to view "my vacation" and it cheerfully tells me 89 days until my vacation. WhooHoo! Then it tells me that I have 3 messages waiting. I click to read and one of them is telling me...... IT'S TIME TO MAKE DINING RESERVATIONS!!!!!!! Argh! Yeah, right. If only I could! WTG Disney! Great way to keep those automated messages up to date!

That wasn't even the best. There was also another one telling me that park hours for my vacation are now available, and to check out the calendar. It proceeds to give me park hours for my check in day, including for "Disney MGM Studios" -- guys you re-branded that park like what, 2 years ago?

We also just received the standard "upgrading the system" response. It is still saying the new system will be available Dec 22.

Does anyone have any idea how this new system is going to work? Can we log on and make ressies over the internet, or will we still be calling the phone number?

I haven't heard this in the recording; only that they are upgrading the software to a more robust system and are processing reservations through March 22nd. Just talked to dining, she sounded "offshore" and was reading from a script. When I asked about making reservations in April she said that they expect to revert to the normal booking windows in mid to late Jauary.

It's not available yet. It's supposedly going to start at some point in the early new year.

WDW is switching to a new reservation system. You can fine info in one of the stickys at the top of the board. It is true that you cannot book anything up until the new system is in place, but neither can anyone else, so nothing will be booked until the new system starts. There are a couple exceptions, like Victoria's and Albert's and Cinderella's Royal Table, and those are listed in the sticky as well.

They open at 7 am EST. Let us know if they allow you. We have heard 12/22 at the soonest but most likely sometime mid January.

They should not have any problems getting reservations tomorrow morning...they're looking for February reservations. Reservations through March 22 are o.k. now

I just called Disney for reservations and they still are ONLY taking ressies up to March 22nd. She did say the date was December 21st, but it has been pushed back again. She hasn't been informed of anything as when you can call and book. The recording does mention the three restaurants you can book at as stated in the many threads here. I was hoping I would be able to make them, this stinks...lol. We are going April 9th I hope it's soon.
