Hi.

I have a question about the length of advanced ADRs I can make. I am checking in to Pop Century on Wed.Dec.17th and checking out Fri.Dec 19th (room only). On Friday night I am staying at a friends house and then checking in for two weeks with a full package with dining at All Star Sports on Saturday, Dec. 20th. My question is will I be able to book the 180+10 days starting on Wednesday (so Wed 17th - Fri 26th) or because it is two stays (although basically connected), will I only be able to book for Wed-Fri first, and then the package part of my trip separately when Saturday hits the 180 mark.

Thanks.

If you're doing ADRs online, ppl have been reporting that Disney won't recognize the split stay, and you could only do the ADRs for the first stay. If you make your ADRs by phone, you can get both stays done, up to 10 days' worth of ADRs. I don't know what happens after 10 days of booking, if you have to call each day separately at its 180 day mark. That would be a question worth asking the Disney CM. Now for my Disney phone experience, and that of a few others posting here: I had to speak to 4 separate people, on 4 separate tries, before I encountered a CM who would do the split stay ADRs. The other CMs gave me the standard answer that "it can't be done" and they wouldn't budge. My persistence paid off, but it puzzles me that one CM could do it with no problems, and 3 others couldn't.
:confused3

You cannot book until 190 days prior to your package starting.

The OP can book 180 days prior to their first arrival date (December 17) and should be able to book the first 10 days of their trip. No one can book 190 days before arrival date.

As POOHsie said, it's been problematic booking split stay reservations online. We were always able to do it online until our upcoming trip. We had to call, but the CM was able to book the 180 + 10 for us. The next day we booked the 11th day, the next the 12th.

Well, today was my 180 day mark. I tried to make online reservations for 180+10 but was not allowed to. I was only able to book from day of check-in to day of check-out. I then called (started at 7am but ADR system was down till Noon today) and got the same answer from all the CM's. 12 different CM's I called today (I know, I just thought I would keep trying and maybe the answer would change) told me the same thing. The ADR system was down this morning until about Noon to upgrade the CM's computers to act like the online. I was told (and also saw online) by all 12 that it is no longer 180+10 but it is 180+length of resort stay. Therefore, if you have a 2 night stay, you get 180+2, while a 15 day stay would get you 180+15. They told me it was to stop people from doing a "throwaway room" in order to take advance of the early booking. They wanted to shut this down before the Christmas season (today they are booking for Dec. 17th). Apparently they had already stopped it online but this morning upgraded the CM computers so they would no longer be able to override and allow someone to book for 10 days if they are only stay 1 night. I was able to book for my first stay but need to wait till Monday for the rest. I was also told by all of them that I will be able to book for my entire stay (14 days) and not just the +10 since it is now 180+length of stay. I jokingly asked what if I stayed for 2 months, and they told me I could do 180+2 months. Guess this will stop people from booking throwaway rooms (unless they buy a throwaway room for each night of their stay)

Gee - Disney must have been reading the boards!! - or didn't like the lack of reservations at the restaurants that they are trying to sell packages for! Glad they figured this one out.

I see there point in this... however... I can also see in the near future not only having trouble getting ADR's but also having trouble getting the value/moderate resort rezzies as people will change from booking throw away rooms to throw away vacations for many days since the reservation still only requires 1 night room rate as the deposit for the entire reservation regardless of if it is for 1 day or 15 days. They will still get their ADR's 180+length of stay and still only have to deposit 1 night. Those of us trying to book real vacation packages will now not only be struggling with getting those elusive ADR's, but I am thinking we will now be struggling to get the actual resort/room's we want as well if we like to book our entire packages 8-12 months ahead of time.

They should cancel all ADR's made after the booking is cancelled unless it is rebooked to another Disney property . It doesn't help the issue with booking a whole week but might discourage this from happening at all in the future.

I had problems with our ADRs online & on the MDE app on our 180+10 date back in February for our August split stay.

I had started at 6am, changed browsers & cleared the cache at least 3 times. It would not take any reservations for the second half of our split. I ended up calling just after 7am, no hold time at all... ten minutes later all ADRs were made for the full trip. Including BOG & Wishes Dessert Party - which I couldn't get for any of our dates online or on the app.

Today was the first day that the phone CMs are using the new system for ADR's that goes based on 180+your length of resort stay and no longer 180+10 days. They can no longer book days by phone if you don't have a room reservation for that day, the computer wont let them. For the last few months they knew the new rules but the computer still let them book for 180+10 even if it was a one night stay. Now their computers won't let them even if they wanted to.

Curious as to who your source is? I assure you that this information is incorrect.

I saw this and had my manager confirm with the Dine Management in Florida today. We have NEVER been able to book past 180+10 for resort guests.

You are able to book 180 days plus up to 10 days past your stay - AS LONG AS YOU HAVE A RESORT STAY LASTING THAT LONG. If you are staying for 15 days, then you would have to call on your 180 day mark for the 15th day. At that point you would be able to book for the remaining five days.

If you are only staying five days, those are the dates that you are allowed to book for. You may not book past that unless you have a split stay. Please let me know if you require further explanation.

I am sure Rusty will be able to confirm this information if you need further clarification.

For the 12 different CMs and a couple supervisors. In any event, I will be able to test that out on Monday morning to see if it is +10 or +resort length. They have definitely stopped through booking a reservation unless it is a part of a resort stay (ie. staying on site for 5 days, then offsite from 5 - you will be unable to book for the last 5 days. You can only book from checkin date to checkout date)

I apologize for any misinformation you were given. Please report back after you have finished your ADRs. I'm anxious to see how you do!

As always, please call us at 7:00 am ET if you have any questions or concerns. We'd be delighted to assist you or offer any advice.

The direct number is 407-939-3463. Say "agent" ubtil you get a live person. It should take you no more than 5 minutes to get through if you call right at 7. Good Luck!:thumbsup2

Hi! I thought I was going to have a problem booking after reading this post even though I thought I very knowledgeable of the ADR guidelines. Also, I didn't see any other posts on Rumor & News thread, or other CMs confirm this, or others state this was true. But quite nervous since Christmas season & FD. However, I spoke to a manager when I called in this morning. I could only book for 1day, December 18, online which resulted in the phone call. I have a split stay with no break in total reservation, 12/18-12/20 & 12/20-12/27. Problems with online booking system this morning resulted in the phone call. After confirmation, I was able to book for entire stay, 12/18-12/27. The ADR BOOKING is still the same, 180D+10, if you have 10days booked. Confirmed that could only book 10D if had ten days booked. Split stays by phone only if you want to utilize the original 180D mark.

All this to say your problem is that you have a break in your reservation. If you check-out/check-in on same day to a different resort then you could make all dinner reservations at the same time for up 10D if booked for 10D, then call back the next for Day 11, then Day 12, etc. As OP/CM posted. Hope this helps.

When did this start? May 5 was my 180 and I booked days past my current resort reservation. (I plan to extend the trip but haven't booked the 2nd part yet.)

It's a moot point now. You booked earlier than when this policy went into effect.

As of today, at least, you are not able to book ADRs past your resort stay.
