I am not taking a laptop with me, but will have my iPhone. Does anybody use the Disney app (I am not even sure what it is called) to keep checking for ADRs once you are into your trip? If not, what do you do? I hear that places sometimes open up once the cancellation window starts to close, but I am not sure how to track that/or even check it when I am actually on site.

I've done it on my phone. Either by calling or using the app. I like the app the best.

It is very easy do using the iPhone5 and the MDE app. We were at WDW in February and I was able to cancel my dining reservation for that evening while standing in line for Test Track. I didn't make a reservation while there, but it would have been easy to do if I wanted to do it.

The MDE app was really great with the iPhone. The map feature would show me where I was in the park, and what was close by. It was nice for park hours, parade times, etc. You might want to spend some time learning it's different features. I used it a lot to see the ride wait times. That way we knew how crowded the park was at any given time.
