We have an ADR for Le Cellier for the middle of May for 4 ( we had a hard time getting this ...but finally did :cheer2: )But, now the couple we are going with doesn't want to eat there. I called to see if there was anything , anything at all for 2 and they are all booked....lunch and dinner. My question is if we show up only 2 of the 4 what will happen? I don't want to lose this reservation, because I really want to eat there! Thanks!

I'm curious about this too. I made reservations for 6 and said if I need to decrease the party size, do I just call and let you know, and the CS said yes.

I don't think anything will happen. Just tell the CM when you get there the other two people in your party couldn't make it and you only need a table for two.

I really don't think it will be a problem.

You'll be fine. Just show up with just 2 and you'll still be seated. We have done this often ourselves. We always make ADRs with plans with others and sometimes they can make it and sometime they have to cancel. (Our friends are CMs for WDW and our schedules don't always work out). You will be making a walk up party of 2 very happy. For May we have no idea if our 15 yo grandson is coming with us or not, but we made all of our dining reservations with him as part of the party just in case he changes his mind at the last minute. It's sad when you have to leave one of the kids behind because they don't want to miss school -- whatever is wrong with these kids now days. After all mom and S-D and both of his little sisters are going, but he doesn't want to. (Maybe he figured he would rather get a break from his little sisters and stay with his dad and S-M).

I've never done this myself but have seen other posts on this. When you check in at the podium, just tell them that some members of your party couldn't make it. It may take longer to be seated, but they won't turn you away. I don't think you can call ahead because like the op said there probably won't be any smaller tables available. Hope you have a great meal at Le Cellier, I have my first res. there in June!

Thanks for all the responses. It is so hard to get any ressies anymore with the dining plan! You have helped put my mind at ease!
