We will be travelling with a party of six and I have made all of our ADRs for six people. What happens if one or more of the party decides to sleep in instead of getting up for breakfast or wants to skip a meal. Will the restaurant honor my reservation for six if only 4 or 5 people are there? i'm not sure how they allocate tables. Thanks

I don't know if every restaurant has the same policy, but on our trip last year, DH became sick and we went to at least two restaurants short by one person. However, the year before when two of my family members decided not to go with us to CRT, I was still charged the full amount for their breakfast.

My understanding w/ CRT from both CM's I have talked to is that if you don't update/cancel/change before 48 hours you are charged the full amount.

that's the only place that said that...

California grill also has a 24hr cancellation policy, 10$ pp for no show w/o cancellation. Also the Fantasmic Dinner package has a cancellation policy, 48 hrs, can't remember the pp charge if you don't cancel.

You will know when you make your ADR, they will ask for your cc# and tell you the cancellation policy.

Sorry, I should have qualified that I meant it's not a problem in the restaurants that do not charge you a deposit like CG and CRT.

As for an extra person, that will depend on table availablility. For example, if you booked three but four show up that's generally not a problem because must tables of 3 are usually seated at a table designed for four. But if you book 3 and 6 show up, that could cause you to wait a longer time. It also depends on how busy the restaurant is when you arrive.

Hi! I ran into this same problem. My Dad was suppose to be going with us this Oct. but can't now due to work. I booked all my ADRS as a party of 6. When I called Disney Dining and spoke to 2 different CMS and they told me that they would go through my ADRS and make sure that all tables that were booked were for 4 to 6 people. Some table sizes were for a party of 6 to 8 people. She told me we would probably lose our table at check in if we showed up with 1 less person in our party. I just went ahead and changed them to the smaller tables to be on the safe side. I hope this helps. :goodvibes

We had that problem last December when our DS wasn't feeling well and couldn't make it to dinner at Boma. They had no problem seating us with one less. Have a great trip! :woohoo:
