Maybe I don't understand the policy and it's my own fault, but I was a little annoyed this morning with Disney's ADR Policy.
From my understanding if you are staying on property you can make 10 days worth of ADR's 180 days from your check in date. My check in is 10/28 so today was 180 days.
I called this morning at 7am to get an ADR for CRT. I wanted 10/30 or 10/31 but they were completely booked. I was able to get 11/2 but not a time that I really wanted.
My problem is, is that today was the 1st time I was allowed to call as per Disney's policy, and I was able to get a operator at 7am (no waiting), so I am sure I was one of the first for the day, yet most days were booked and the few that were not had times I did not desire. My thinking is that people that are checking in prior to 10/28 (say 10/25,10/26, etc) were able to call a few days ago and probably booked the days that I wanted. To me this is not fair. I had no chance what so ever of getting the day that I wanted because I was not able to call until today.
I realize that for most ADR's this is not a issue as I am sure they do not book completely 180 days in advance. But for things such as CRT they should have a separate policy. Since they have a separate policy when it comes to paying (I had to pay in full today but don't for any other ADR), they should also have a separate policy for calling and give everyone an equal chance.
Does anyone else have an issue with this? Was my understanding of the ADR policy incorrect and I messed up? I am happy that I was able to get a ADR for CRT but it would have been nice to have an opportunity to get my desired day and/or time.
What does everyone else think? Thanks
