Hello Dis Friends! :goodvibes

Our trip in September seemed a bit "iffy" for awhile (long story) and was almost cancelled, but now it is back on and we are counting the days! :thumbsup2

I wanted to ask your opinion about our plans, and ADR's. This is only our second trip ever to WDW, and will be our last for several years, so we want to enjoy every aspect of it! :)

Last year we did not see everything, nor taste everything,:rotfl: and this year we want to try to do so much more, yet relax a bit as well!

Our ADR's are all set (and have been) and while we are eating at a few places we enjoyed last year (CP, Planet Hollywood, Boma, 50's PT) we are trying many new places.

Below are our ADR's... can you tell me what your honest opinions are for each place and what (if any) food/entree/dessert at that place cannot be missed?

September 2008...

14th Planet Hollywood dinner
15th CRT, breakfast and CP, dinner
16th Coral Reef (my birthday dinner)
17th Boma's dinner
18th Tony's Town Square dinner
19th 50's Prime Time
20th Whispering Canyon Cafe dinner
21st Boma's dinner
22nd Sci-Fi
23rd Chef Mickey's breakfast, Cape May Cafe dinner
24th Chef Mickey's breakfast, Turf Club Bar & Grill dinner (SSR)
25th La Cellier dinner
26th Ohana dinner (8:25 PM, I'm told we might be able to see fireworks?)
27th 1900 Park Fare Character Dinner

Also, this will be our first times at the water parks (one day each), are there any good CS meals/options at the waterparks?

We will also do Disney Qwest (spelled wrong I am sure) at DTD, what are good CS choices there?

I know this is :offtopic: but is Cirque worth the money, and if so, what seating tier do you like best? And are daytrips to the Gulf (we were thinking Clearwater) worth the drive (we have been to the ocean a lot, but have not seen the Gulf of Mexico)?

Like I said before, we know this will be our last vacation (WDW or anywhere) for a good three years due to my needing to complete my college education, and then get both knees replaced. We want this to be absolutely awesome! :)

TIA :flower3: for your replies and advice, we really appreciate it!

I like your choices, but I'm wondering about Boma's twice & CM's twice? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Boma's, but twice in one trip might be too much especially since there are so many other places to try. Same with Chef Mickey's, everyone should go at least once in their life, but twice in one week? :confused3

I would highly recommend trying Boma's breakfast and Cape May's breakfast (both buffets)

14th Planet Hollywood dinner
15th CRT, breakfast and CP, dinner
16th Coral Reef (my birthday dinner)
17th Boma's dinner
18th Tony's Town Square dinner
19th 50's Prime Time
20th Whispering Canyon Cafe dinner
21st Boma's dinner
22nd Sci-Fi
23rd Chef Mickey's breakfast, Cape May Cafe dinner
24th Chef Mickey's breakfast, Turf Club Bar & Grill dinner (SSR)
25th La Cellier dinner
26th Ohana dinner (8:25 PM, I'm told we might be able to see fireworks?)
27th 1900 Park Fare Character Dinner
-At PH, save room for dessert! DH & DS love love love the banana split creme brulee. DD & I (chocoholics that we are) love the brownie sundae
-Boma dinner try the soups, very good. Of course zebra domes & cocoamisu
-never tried Tony's
-haven't been to 50's PTC in years, but it was good
-love the skillet and the milkshakes at WCC
-We've had good meals at Sci-fi
-We really enjoy the Clambake buffet at Cape May. Lot's of choices, even picky eaters and non-seafood eaters will find plenty to eat. For dessert, don't miss the dessert buffet by the hostess stand. Oreo bon-bons, need I say more ;)
-Turf Club is our hidden gem. The shrimp & penne dish is very good. Every time we've been there, every one has left with a very full tummy. Make sure to save room for the chocolate lava cake ::yes::
-LeCellier, don't miss the cheddar cheese soup & the pretzel bread. DD loves their sourdough too. Of course the filet is pretty darn good :)
-haven't been to O'hanas in years, so can't comment
-1900 Park Fare, the strawberry soup is so yummy that it could be a dessert :goodvibes

A few other recommendations: LTT (for lunch, not dinner), Les Chefs de France, and Spoodles.

September 2008...

14th Planet Hollywood dinner We ate here a few times and the food was good but we think of it like a TGIF or Applebees kind of food. Since we can get that at home I would choose something different

15th CP, dinner We have eaten here a few times and liked it very much. The adobe pork and chicken is our favorite. DH loves the spoon corn bread

16th Coral Reef (my birthday dinner) We ate there once many years ago with inlaws, they all had fish and DH and I had the filet..our filets were the hit of the table

17th Boma's dinner Breakfast is killer so I bet dinner is amazing too but do you really want to do it twice in one trip??

19th 50's Prime Time We love the fried chicken white meat plate and smores, the best! The cocktails are amazing too

21st Boma's dinner

23rd Chef Mickey's breakfast, Cape May Cafe dinner Way too much food in one day unless your ressie for breakfast is super early and you skip lunch and have a later dinner. Cape May is one of our fav dinners and I am not a seafood girl!

24th Chef Mickey's breakfast, I wouldnt do this one twice, I would go to Cape May, Boma or Kona for breakfast

25th La Cellier dinner Awesome!

26th Ohana dinner (8:25 PM, I'm told we might be able to see fireworks?) One of the best meals we ever had at WDW

Thank you for all of the recommendations! :goodvibes I printed your list so I would have it! Strawberry soup? That sounds heavenly! Is it served cold? I had not really ever heard anything about the Turf Club, we did not eat there when we stayed at SSR last year, so I am glad to see your positive note! We are happy to see that the Clambake Buffet at Cape May offers more than seafood! I am not a seafood eater, DH is, and DS is somewhat, we just wanted to try something different! We are cancelling one CM breakfast today, we may do a Boma Breakfast, were not sure. When arranging our ADR's I did not know anything really about breakfasts, so we just scheduled two there, as we knew it was close to MK!

Thank you for all the information! :goodvibes I am glad to see Ohana is good! :thumbsup2 We ate breakfast there (our only TS breakfast) last year, it was good... nothing spectacular, but still good and the characters were great! We are cancelling one CM breakfast, we chose it simply because it was so close to MK and those were our MK days! On the day we have a Chef Mickey breakfast and Cape May Cafe dinner, our AM reservation is 7:20 AM and PM reservation is 7:20 PM, so they are a full 12 hours apart. We had not planned on eating anything between the two meals, and we were spending over half the day (up until 5:00 PM) in MK. Do you still think it will be to much? Having never eaten at either place, I have nothing to judge by, but thought perhaps with the time span, and activity level, it was "do-able"?! :) I am not a seafood girl at all either, I am glad to see you like Cape May! We LOVE Planet Hollywood, we eat in them any time we are near one (generally on vacations)! I chose it based on that, however, we will also have a $15.00 fift certificate to apply to a PH meal, so we could eat that way there, instead of using our DDP credits (like fitting in a lunch sometime). Do you have any recommendations for a 1-credit TS meal at DTD? We are willing to "spread our wings" :rotfl: and try other/new places! :goodvibes

The strawberry soup at 1900 PF is out of this world! It is served cold. I was a bit afraid to try it, but loved it! Have a great time. You picked some good places to eat.

Thanks! :goodvibes I am definately trying that soup, I love strawberries... I bet it will be awesome!

Le Cellier...AWESOME...ate there for my birthday in May. Filet is DELICIOUS. Don't miss the Cheddar Soup too. I also LOVED the Maple Creme Brulee!

Boma breakfast...GREAT! Huge variety. We really enjoyed it (and I'm not a big breakfast person.)

As another poster recommended...another personal favorite of mine is Liberty Tree Tavern at lunch. I enjoy the Declaration Salad with the strawberry vinegarette dressing and any of the main courses. The Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake is MY FAVORITE DESSERT IN ALL OF WDW!

One other thought, I enjoyed eating at Kona. Filet there is great but not awesome like LeCellier. Portions are large. Don't miss the sticky wings...tasty!

I'm sure you'll have a great time sampling all around WDW...makes me hungry!
