ADR - Newbie Questions

Until I joined DVC, I had no idea how ignorant I was of Disney stuff! OK....

Is there any advantage in making ADRs by belonging to DVC? I believe (??) that anyone can make ADRs online or by calling 90 days in advance of desired chow time.

Any differences (perks?) by belonging to DVC?

I don't think there are any perks for being a DVC member when it comes to ADRs. However, you do have the same benefit as anyone else staying onsite, and that is that when your ADR day comes, you can make up to 10 days worth of ADRs from the date of your check-in. So you don't have to call or get online every single morning, you could do them all at the same time (unless your trip is longer than 10 days of course!). As of now, the ADR window is 90 days prior to check-in. On October 27, 2009, that will change and the ADR window will be 180 days from your check-in date. You will still be able to book up to 10 days of ADRs when the 180-window returns.
