I'm a first timer to Disney World and I'm also a resort guest (Contemporary), i know i am entitled to 190 days to start making my ADR, so i was wondering should i really start making my ADR's that far in advance? Would delaying it a few days later hurt my chances of getting what i want? My current list includes:

Le Cellier
Jiko
California Grill
Narcoossee's
Victoria & Albert's (chef's table if i get lucky)

I haven't finalized the rest (i'm on the dinning plan). I know for the chef's table i have to call 190 days in advance, but what about the rest? Thanks in advance guys! (this disneyworld planning is tougher than i expected:confused3 )

You're not exactly eligible for 190 days. You call on the 180 days out from the 1st reservation you want and then you can make all your dining arrangements for your entire trip in that one phone call, up to a 10 day trip. Used to, you had to call 180 days out from every day so if you were vacationing for 8 days, you had to call 8 days in a row to get reservations. They make it easier if you are staying onsite now and let you just do the whole trip in one (long distance) call.

Chef's table will be your hardest to snag and you'll need to do that immediately 180 days out - call at 7am. See if you can get in any of the days of your trip first. Then move to LeCellier - it's another hard one to snag but if you have a few days you can work around, you should be able to get your pick. Might as well book everything you can in that phone call and change things later if you need to.

Have a great trip!

Nice choices! Depending on when you're going (holidays, free DDP) you may also want to make your Le Cellier ADR right away, since it is the only 1 TS credit meal on your list, and it does book up quickly. I don't know how quickly CA Grill books up, but if you want to time it to see Wishes I wouldn't wait to long on that one either. Jiko and Narcoosee's, being 2 credit places, probably won't fill up right away, but with the new DXDDP next year, who knows?

Welcome to the DIS, and congrats on your first trip!

Thank you so much for the responses....the information has been quite helpful. I'll be at the World May 10-18th...Can't wait!

Of the places on your list only one serves lunch - Le Cellier. If you cannot get a dinner reservation, try for the latest lunch time which would be somewhere around 3:30-4:30.
