ADR frustrations

You can use the Touring Plans website restaurant finder w/o having to pay for a subscription. Free. I have been trying it over the past 2 wks and it has found an early 4pm 'Ohana. It is much more effective to have the alert sent to your phone rather than computer as you need to pounce on the opening as soon as you receive the alert.

Im in the same boat. Up this morning and tried to book something for the last day of our trip and still can't get it. I've never had this issue before. Sigh. Thanks for the Touring Plans tip. Didn't know they had that feature. Im giving that a try.

what are you trying to book? I found that availability was a little worse in the first few days of december but after the 5th loosened up a bit.

And yes, 'free' dining, along with the dining plan in general, has really dumbed down the WDW dining experience over the years. And that includes getting DR's.

TP's reservation finder works great. I've used it to get 8:00ish BOG and Crystal Palace for 6, better times for an Ohana breakfast and Chef Mickey dinner... and I currently have a search on for a Tusker House breakfast.

We will be at Disney from Dec. 4 till Dec. 10 staying club level. I asked for help with BOG dinner on the 4 but did the rest myself. Today I got an email that they couldn't get me an ADR for the 4 but had booked one on the 9 and two on the 10 for me if I wanted them. I might use the one on the 9 but that may be were a lot of the ADR's are going. I now have three BOG dinner ADR's for dates that I didn't want but none for the time I was looking for.

I tried to get Crystal Palace and CRT on either the 6th or 9th of December. CRT had plenty for parties of 2,3, or 4, but when I changed it to 5 it was a no go. Thankfully, I called at 7:00 and she was able to magically find one for my party of 5. I finally found one for Crystal Palace at 9:30. I usually have no issue booking this particular week and get the pre-park opening options I am looking to find. This is first year in a while that I have had trouble and had to call.

We will be there Nov 26 - Dec 3rd. My 180 window opened on May 30. I had no problem booking everything that I wanted. I had many more troubles booking for mid-October last year. I'll admit, many of my times weren't 100% what I would choose if I had free reign, but I was pleased nonetheless. We also have a party of 5.

Hi I’m new to the boards, sorry but I need to vent. How are we supposed to make adrs if Wdw park hours haven’t come out for our whole trip, it just seems really ridiculous. So most of the ones I made I will need to cancel because I was guessing that they wouldn’t change the EMH’s from the week before and guess what? they did, so I woke up at 3am for nothing. So now I will have to check back everyday to see the park hours then make the corresponding reservations.
