Hi all,

Today was the day we could book Le Cellier and I was disappointed to see there was nothing free for a group of 9. We are totally happy to split onto different tables.

So I tried booking a table of 4 and a table of 5 seperately and it worked. So I now have 2 ADRs under my name for the same date/time just a different number of guests. I also booked a table of 4 under my Mum's name just in case my 2 x ADRs get cancelled.

BEFORE anyone flames me - I am still learning about ADRs and I have absolutely NO intention of trying to trick the system or hold onto ADRs that I don't need. I will absolutely ring WDW DINE at the weekend and sort this out but we moved house recently and have no phone line so I can't call until then (not using my mobile as I'm in the UK and it would be VERY expensive!).

I am going to see what WDW DINE suggest doing and will do whatever they tell me - "is the rules" etc. but thought I'd ask you guys for advice too.

Will they let me keep 2 x seperate ADRs like this (under my name)? Is there any possibility of combining my 2 ADRs into one or is there a chance they will say no, they can't seat 9 together? (even though again, we're totally happy to sit apart). If thats the case, am I better off just cancelling my table of 4 and keeping the table of 4 under my Mum's name and just leave it like that (so we have a table of 5 in my name & a table of 4 in Mum's name) and on the day, we can say we'd like to eat near each other if possible?

I want to do the right thing - just not sure what that is! I can visit my Mum this weekend and use her phone to call the USA but I am worried I might lose my ADRs in the meantime.

Thanks for any help

Will they let me keep 2 x seperate ADRs like this (under my name)? They would not let me. I had to book under one phone number/two separate names. This was regardless if we were at the same/different restaurants within the same meal period. Is there any possibility of combining my 2 ADRs into one or is there a chance they will say no, they can't seat 9 together? I highly doubt they will combine two adr's into one. If you want to try to sit together, put the reservations under the same phone number/different names. This :thumbsup2

If it were me, I would cancel the party of 4 under your name *online* now to remove all doubt. Also saves from making an international call.

BTW, I completely understand you're not trying to cheat the system, so no flames from me. :goodvibes

Cancel the reservation for 4 you made under your name and keep the one in your mother's name. And I would suggest doing the cancellation online and not by phone, and do not explain to a phone agent what you did and ask for suggestions. Much of the cancellation stuff that happens appears to occur when someone calls WDW-DINE and brings their multiple bookings to a CM's attention.

If you're going to call, all I'd say you should do is ask if they have a reservation available for nine. If they say yes, you can cancel the ones you have AFTER you have secured the reservation for nine. And no, you cannot combine ADRs. When you arrive, ask if your party can be seated together or at tables near each other. That won't be guaranteed, but they'll try.

Great - this is perfect advice thank you!

I think I will cancel down the table for 4 under my name, and just leave the 2 seperate bookings for 4 and 5!

They are not going to give you a hard time about the amounts of people in your reservation. I have been to california grill with 7 people. I only had an adr for 4. They will do what they can to accommodate you. People freak out about ADRs. It's Disney, they want you to come back because you had a "magical" time.

P.S. You could say that you love kittens and someone would find a reason to flame you:confused3

Thank you! We honestly don't mind sitting apart - we just are looking forward to a meal there so much! We loved it last time (we were only a party of 4 then) - and I hope nothing much changes about it (menu wise and poshness, we are taking 3 kids under 5!!!) when it turns to a signature dining place! Don't panic, we've got an early dinner ADR so won't spoil anyones nice dinner! hee hee (and they really ARE good kids!)

I DO love kittens! :goodvibes

They will accommodate you if they can - but sometimes they can't. If the restaurant is full to capacity for fire codes they will NOT let you bring in extra people. It is better to have space reserved for your entire party than take this risk - which is rare, but does happen.
