ADR dilemma--helpp

ok so i have about 10 days until i can make my ADR's and im already nervous about not getting all my revervations. I'm going for my birthday/xmas/graduation present and i would love for my ADR's to work out smooth but here's the problem. I'm traveling with my boyfriend and another couple and there is a chance the other couple may need to back out. If i make ADR's for 4 people, and then they don't come, will i need to cancel and change the reservations? will i get a hard time if i show up to the restaurant with only 2 people? I dont no what i should do..any suggestions?

You should not have a problem if you make the ADRs for four then show up with two. However I would suggest that you try to make the ADRs for four, and then if the other couple decides not to attend call Disney dining to see if you can change the reservation to two people. The only problem is for certain reservations such as Cinderella's Castle they require a credit card to hold the spot, you only need to cancel 24 hours in advance to avoid a charge. In general the other restaurants do not penalize for not showing up or having a change from four to two people. Overall it is better to have the reservation and then cancel/change later then to not have it at all.
