ADR Date Glitch?

I have been playing around in the new Genie app, and today I noticed something odd.
The first day of our trip is January 18th, so our ADR date is 11/19. However, Genie is telling me I can make dining reservations in 19 days, which is 70 days out from our trip rather than 60. Has anyone else seen this?

Are you staying at a Disney resort? Those guests are able to book dining reservations 60+10 days out I believe.

WL is a Disney resort, so you get up to 10 days head start.

Yes, I seem to have an early date in Genie for making ADRs for my January visit, but I don’t think it’s 70 days before checkin. 60 days before our checkin would be November 17, but Genie says I can book ADRs on November 14, or 3 days early. Maybe Genie is confused by the 60+length of stay rule, too, because our resort reservation is 3 days. Instead of letting me book at 60 days before checkin for our entire 3 day stay (60+3), it’s telling me I can book 63 days before checkin. If that’s true, it’s quite a change.

Yeah, our trip is 10 days and it's saying I can book dining at 70 days... definitely a change from the standard policy.

I messaged a CM and he said "If Genie says 70 days then I would go with that".... didn't seem very convinced, so it could just be a glitch with Genie.

Yes, I’m going to keep watching Genie, and when it says I can book, I’ll try, no matter how early I think it is!

Yep - definitely a glitch. As you said, for a Jan 18 check in the 60 day ADR date should be 11/19. Pretty major screw up on Disney's part, hopefully they fix that quickly or lots of people will be confused and angry.

My ADR window opens on Sunday, so in 3 days. When I tell genie my preferences for our first park day, it’s already giving me a button to make reservations. But when I actually click on it and get to the ADR calendar, it’s only open through the proper day (so today it’s only allowing reservations through 12/21). So I think Genie’s ADR calculations are a glitch but it won’t actually let you go in and make reservations early. You can always give it a try just in case, but if it’s like mine you won’t actually be able to make those reservations until 60 days before check-in.

Well darn! But, of course, Disney IT - the ADR booking engine is smarter than the Genie calculating engine!
