ADR Changers - We still don't know what we want for dinner!

I had the urge to change something again today......... I did go and look at availability for some of my dates but left my ADR's as is .........for now............ I just do not know what I want to do :confused3

Way to stay strong! :thumbsup2 Are you looking to just change dates/times or restaurants all together?

Why do I get like this ????

Because you just want the best possible vacation! :goodvibes

I did the same thing, luckily I only have 2

The root of all changes :confused3 My DH has talked DDs out of CRT...too bad we are going. So the only reservations we have are CRT and CM (for DH and DD birthday meal):lovestruc Hey, it's all good, it's HER birthday!

Not sure if it was someone on this tread or where that was saying they could not book Cape May and wondered why???

Magic WDW posted today that Cape May will be closed for refurb from July 9 to August 5th

I did tweek my two ADRs for arrival day, it is that darn surprise one I have planned for DH at Marrakesh, I ended up moving it again from 4:15pm to 3:45pm originally I had it at 3:30pm. I do not expect to eat much there and seriously doubt DH will even though he says he will so I also decided to move up the dinner at Cape May to 7:45pm instead of 8:30pm.
Technically Marrakesh will be an "extra" meal since we are dong lunch at Big River after we get checked in.

I am just hopeing our room is not ready or DH is gonna want to go take a nap after lunch and I won't be able to get him over to Epcot to surprise him.

Good for you for keeping the CRT ADR! :thumbsup2 I want to eat there one day. To me, it's one of those "must-do" Disney things....especially for people like most of us here who don't just take 1 Disney trip in their lifetime.

I saw that on Facebook about the Cape May refurb. I'm assuming it will just be refurbing the restaurant but that they'll still have the character breakfast. :confused3

I say if the room is ready & DH wants to nap just spoil it a little and let him know that belly dancers await him. I'm sure that will get him up & going fast! :lmao:

Changed a lot today:)
I "think" I'm finished. But really, who do I think I'm kidding!? :rotfl:

finally narrowed down where we are staying.. so that helped figure the ADRs better. Tweaked times for a bunch, too.

Now I wait for AP rates to come out. We want YC on July 2nd - or BC. But if not available, will probably stay that night at AKL - which means ditching my Cape May for a Boma breakfast.
If do stay at YC, then I need a Boma breakfast on the 4th to add. Once I AP rates come out and see what is available for my stay on the 2nd... then can figure out my breakfast issue!

Our arrival dinner... had Park Fare... just switched to Crystal Palace. Makes it easier to go right to MK and eat.
2 of my kids want Park Fare - even though have had a lousy meal the past few times - and we are kinda over the characters - yet it's tradition to eat there for us I suppose, so we keep going back. Feel we should do it... give it one last shot. Kids will turn into "adults" the trip after this and will cut down on the pricey buffets a bit... so keep thinking it's our last shot to do this. I think just give it up and be done with it.... I'm just not in the mood for it.

9 night trip... and have EIGHT breakfast buffets booked. phew! Total of 23 ADRs, plus Beaches & Cream we're planning on finally trying!

There are more ADRs I'd love to fit in.... but just no room for them :confused3
Problem is we have some favorite places that we are doing twice each this trip.
Still want an Akershus breakfast (will have to save for next trip)....
and WCC lunch (we have dinner, but I want lunch, too!!)....
ESPN -keep meaning to try for lunch and say oh, next time will fit it in.... and find myself saying that once again.
Mama Melrose we're missing from this trip for the first time ever. Granted, didn't enjoy it last time... but again, it's that tradition bit that we ALWAYS eat there, how can we skip it? Unless skip H&Vine lunch - but nope, kids want Oso and Handy Manny and not sure that can wait till next time. (and yes, I know the food is lousy at H & V!)
And then Park Fare looks like am skipping on.

Really miss eating lunch at CRT...really miss doing that. Nothing like a hot day and sitting down drinking my iced tea out of a big blue goblet glass:rotfl:
But since they took Major Domo's Favorite Pie off the menu.... no more CRT - that's the big reason we loved it there so much. On the bright side - it's one less ADR I need to fit in!

Next will be to really get cracking on my ADRs for our Thanksgiving trip and figuring out a game plan for that one! Where to have Thanksgiving dinner is my biggest issue!

Having dreams about Disney and getting up and changeing my ADRs in the middle of the night, uh ha that is me . I changed my F! Pkg to an earlier lunch time and then added 50's Prime Time for dinner before the show.

Maybe now I am done? :confused3:laughing:

Sounds like you have a great plan for your ADRs. You're proof that no matter how many ADRs you get to make, it's still hard to pick out the best ones for your trip.

I can see where Thanksgiving dinner would be a really hard one to pick. Do you have any places you're thinking about? Or what park y'all are going to go to that day?

I have Disney dreams all the time, too. The other night, I dreamt we were in MK & it was closing time. At that point, I realized we had only done rides in Adventureland & Frontierland and had never even gone to Fantasyland. And it was our last day of vacation! :scared1:

We love 50's Prime Time. I had it on the itinerary but switched our dinner to Mama Melrose for the F! package.

Thanksgiving... looks like Cape May for dinner. Did it this past year and LOVE Cape May... and want a buffet for Thanksgiving. Only thing, their dark meat was lousy and I LOVE dark meat.
Did Crystal Palace 2 years ago and that's our first choice for Thanksgiving, but they weren't listed as a restaurant serving a specific Thanksgiving meal this year (nor were they the year we had Thanksgiving there), so don't want to book it and chance it and find out there is no turkey! But looks like the only day that can fit in Cape May would be for Thanksgiving.... hopefully the dark meat is better this year!

Sounds like a good choice! And it'll probably still be shiny & new since it'll be undergoing a refurb this summer. Here's to hoping they have some yummy dark turkey meat! pixiedust:

It does sound like Cape May is going to be your best bet. I'll keep fingers crossed for you that the dark meat is good!

The dust has pretty much settled on our ADRs given that we are a few weeks away. Though I'm leaning back towards making a res for H&V breakfast. DD is still really into those characters, so I can deal with another passable meal. :rotfl:

I would definitely try to get an H&V ADR for her - sounds like she'll really enjoy it. :thumbsup2 I have to say now that Jake is at H&V, I think it'll be a must do for us in December. I don't see my DS being "into" those characters for too long so I figured we should probably go ahead & do it. I think I saw in your signature that your DD is 4 - my DS will be 4 next month. I wish I could freeze him once he turns 4. I don't want him to get older than that & go to big boy school. :sad2: I can handle half a day preschool!

That's what I was thinking. We've always had great character interaction at H&V, plus with the new characters, and that DD is getting so grown up. Okay, she's 4.5, but I can't believe she'll be going to school in the fall. I showed DD an episode of "Jake...Pirates" a week ago so she'd be familiar since he is all over Disney Junior at DHS. Well, now she is obsessed. She asks to watch it every day!

And the ADR is confirmed. ;)

:woohoo: Glad you got the ADR! Sounds like she'll definitely enjoy it! My son has been obsessed with that show since it started last year. But, he is a huge Peter Pan fan, so it makes sense he'd like Jake as well. You'll have to let me know how the meal is!

I'm so glad I have one more year before my son goes to school. I'm not ready for him to be that "old" & I'm not ready for all of the issues/situations that school will bring. But, I'm a worry-wart like that. :rotfl:

:welcome: Sounds like you definitely belong here with us. Now, whether that's a good thing or a bad thing, I just don't know! There are indeed so many good choices to make when it comes to dining at Disney. Can you imagine if they didn't have all these choices? What would we all do while waiting for our vacation to actually get here? :confused3

My DH puts up with my Disney planning obsession pretty well. He learned (just within the last year) that he might as well just go along with it because I'm going to talk about it no matter what. :lmao: Tell your DH it could be worse: I'm already obsessing over ADRs & we don't leave until Dec. 8th! :rotfl:

I don't know what I would do without all the choices and planning our vacation! Helps the time to pass by before the trip!

My DH does pretty well too, especially considering we have been talking about this trip since last August! I have been giving the talk a rest for a bit but I'm sure I will bring it up again soon!

Just a mention on 'Ohana breakfast, we went there on our last trip and we really enjoyed it. My son requested that as his birthday breakfast for our trip this year. We also did Hollywood and Vine last time and we had fun. Characters weren't rushed and we are excited that Jake is there now! My son requested to go back there even before he knew Jake was there so he must have liked it.

My son will be 5 in May, I don't want to think about him starting kindergarten either:sad2:

I agree - it definitely helps to pass the time! And it gets me more & more excited for the trip.

Yeah, I've been laying low at home, not talking about it toooo much. But, my DH better be ready for the end of May/beginning of June - I will be in full-blown ADR obsession mode! :lmao:

So glad to hear that y'all liked 'Ohana & H&V for breakfast! My little boy is excited to meet Stitch since he hasn't met him on his other trips. And I think he will flip his lid when he makes Jake! That is so much fun that your son will get to celebrate his bday at Disney. :goodvibes I hope to do that one year for our son.

My son will be 5 in May, I don't want to think about him starting kindergarten either:sad2:

I tell you....I'm already dreading it & my son doesn't start until Aug. 2013. :scared1:

It gets harder to book vacations when they start school....some people have to resort to going during peak times... :scared1:

That will be you one day, my friend!!! You will end up having to go during a time that is voted 38th out of 52nd!!

Here's hoping I survive. :cheer2:

I am happy to say that I haven't changed any ADRs in the last 3 weeks. ;)

The horror!!! :faint:

Never! This is why I need to homeschool Reid!

Here's hoping I survive. :cheer2:

You will survive, you will survive, as long as you have love to give...

Oh wait, that's just a song. :rotfl: But, yes my friend, you will survive. After all, you had a pretty great friend to help with your planning! :rolleyes1

I am happy to say that I haven't changed any ADRs in the last 3 weeks. ;)

Yeah, but if that OHana one would've popped up, you would've grabbed it! :rotfl2:

P.S. Look how far my ticker has come....

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

So excited for y'all! :hyper:
