ADR Changers - We still don't know what we want for dinner!

I only have 1 TS left so, I can use it for dinner on our last night or for dinner on Day 5. I spoke with a CM and she said to allow a couple of hours to walk around the boardwalk and stuff. That being said, it leaves us approx mid afternoon. Not sure if I want to leave the are to come back to Epcot just for dinner . HS closes early that night (7) so more people will be jammed into the two parks. Also, we will have been at Epcot the night before and are going back on Day 7 morning so, I'm not sure my daughter will want to spend more time there (especially since Test Track will be closed). Not too sure what our plans will be the rest of that afternoon. That's why I'm so stuck regarding making additonal ressies...... Right now I have a HOB in DTD for 4:30 but, I dont think that is the most bang for my buck. We can go to PH and use the DDP as well as my AAA $15 voucher (for appetizers ) but, once again, not sure it maximizes the benefits. However, its convenient and food my daughter would enjoy. Want some flexibility but, making ADR's really limits that

Hmmmm...with only 1 TS credit left, I would probably save it for the last night. I like TS meals but those ADRs do indeed limit you. So, if you don't do the TS on day 5, would you just do something low-key for dinner that night, some sort of CS meal?

For the last night, if y'all wouldn't go to DTD, is there another park y'all would maybe go to one last time?

OMG, this thread makes me feel so happy (and NORMAL), hahaha. I have been on the reservation site every night since November when I booked my trip (in March). At first, I kept stalking the site to get the restaurants I really want to eat which included 'Ohana, Chef Mickey's breakfast almost every day (since we are staying at CR), Crystal Palace, Mickey's BYBBQ, and Fantasmic package.

Ohana and MBYBBQ was the hardest but I managed to snag the ressies after about a month in.

Since December, after I got all of the restaurants I wanted, I still checked every night for the "ideal" ADR times to allow for waiting time before being seated and still be able to eat by my 2yo's normal meal times.

I have to say by early Jan (2-3 weeks ago), I have already secured all restaurants I want on the days I want and at the best possible times I want and yet I still find myself on the reservation site every night, searching for times. I find something new and I analyze over and over again if worth juggling my ressies around only to come to same conclusion every night which is all of our TS ADR's are 99% perfect!

I even told DH that he should change my Disney site's password so I don't get to log in. HAHAHA.

I also constantly stalk the online ADR system for ideal meal times. And with a little one, it does feel like a necessity.

That's great that you were able to get OHana & MBYBBQ! We did MBYBBQ on my son's 1st trip back in Dec. 2010. It's a lot of fun, especially for the little ones. It can be a little chaotic when the characters come out to dance with everyone. But, it really is quite cute!

I think if I couldn't log into the Disney site I would go through withdrawals!

That's really good to know about breakfast! Or is it? That's just one more place to contemplate!

My family is all about the breakfast! H&V is great!!!!! just saying....with CL this trip. Only CRT BF for us :confused3

Golly I been sitting here thinking about maybe changing H & V on DHS day to Kouzzina and now you have given it a :thumbsup2 too . :confused3

Yeah, when we stayed CL back in May, we only did 1 breakfast TS. I'm looking forward to doing more in December - even if we book them as late breakfasts.

Seems like it gets harder & harder to pick restaurants, doesn't it? :confused3

I know! If DD miraculously naps, she will be way groggy for an early dinner, but if she doesn't fall asleep she'll be a wreck at a late dinner. :headache: and for breakfast, we're not morning people, including DD, but I don't want to miss an entire morning from the parks by being at a mid-morning breakfast.
Right now we've only got 2 breakfasts, one just before park open at Tusker House, but the other one I'm second-guessing: Chef Mickey's at 9:15. Maybe I'll just keep stalking for a slightly earlier one.

We usually do our breakfasts before rope drop. That being said, I am thinking of trying something new with one of our ADRs for December. I think I'm going to try & get a last breakfast ADR (1020 am) for Hollywood & Vine. That way, we don't miss the TSM dash but we still get to have breakfast. I figure it'll be more of a brunch. Then, we'll just get a decent snack midday & then have a TS dinner. Would something like that work for y'all for Chef Mickeys?

Hi Everyone! I am so so happy I stumbled on this thread. I am a confessed ADR changer, I've already changed my ADRS for my mother daughter trip in May too many times......:rolleyes1 I am still confused. I have an ADR for dinner in May for San Angel, but I am thinking of switching to Tutto Italia. They will hopefully be reopened after their rehab, but the thing that is stopping me is that I read that their menu will be changed and I don't know what will be on it. Opinions please? My brain hurts....:headache:

Well I did it. I sat DH down and asked him if he would rather go to Boma's and spend a couple of hours checking out AKL or keep our Cape May Breakfast. So he says you know I dispise Character Meals :rotfl: At that point I told him we have one booked for CP and before I could say and we are keeping it , he said I like Crystal Palace :rotfl2:. So I ended up switching our Cape May to Cap't Grill and Cap't Grill to Boma only because our lunch ADR on the Cap't Grill day is later 1:35pm which will give us plenty of time to explore AKL.

I stayed at AKL in 2006 and fell in love. DH does not think he will like it but he loves WL and I just know once he steps inside of AKL he will be in love too.

For now we are keeping Hollywood & Vine on our DHS day DH said he can put up with the characters if the food is good( both Deena and pas gave it the :thumbsup2) Plus I decided to cancel Kouzzina on our last morning we both think we might be too rushed and once DH read the breakfast menu at Kouzzina he turned his nose up at just about everything on the menu every dish had something he said he don't like :headache:

We both agreed our last morning we are heading either to Belle Vue Lounge or the BW Bakery and just spend a hour or so walking along the BW savoring our last morning there.

Oh I also cancelled a T-Rex I had for the morning we are not going to Boma's since I do not see us making it to DTD that day.

Heading back now to see if I can get a later lunch ADR for Le Cellier than the one I have now.

:welcome: I'm so glad you found us! Sounds like you definitely belong here. I wish I could be of some help to you for your May conundrum. I have never eaten at San Angel or Tutto Italia. Has there been any word as to when the new menu might be released for Tutto Italia?

Your DH sounds like mine....loves WL but refuses to go AKL since he just knows he won't like it there.

Sounds like you've made some really great changes for y'all! :woohoo: Boma gets such great reviews. We're not very adventurous eaters, so I don't know if we'll ever make it there. After Deena & pas talked about breakfast being good at H&V, I have worked it into my ADR schedule for December. I just re-worked all the places we want to eat at since I changed to POP. And we're going to go back to Epcot on our last day instead of driving all the way home that day. :cool1:

Walking along the Boardwalk sounds like a lovely way to spend the morning before leaving Disney. To me, the pain of leaving Disney is eased somewhat if you can have one last Disney moment before leaving. :thumbsup2

Hope you can get the Le Cellier time you're looking for! pixiedust:

I did breakfast at Boma's when I stayed there and I do think it is the best breakfast buffet at Disney so I am anxious to get DH over there. I am not sure Dinner there would be for DH, if we stay there someday maybe. I had us booked into a 1brdm at AKL for our 2010 trip with DS and Ddil that we ended up postponing :sad1: but DH was not happy with that choice of resort at all

I am excited to be heading back to AKL if it is only to visit and eat for a few hours.

I see you decided to try it!!!! And BTW, HRH and I are DYING to try the BW Bakery :lovestruc

DH is dying to try BW Bakery too and I noticed they have sugar free items for me :)

I bet all your kids can not wait to get into that sweet shoppe on the Boardwalk , wall to wall candy treats

I think it was you that mentioned funnel cakes I have never had them, at least I do not think I have unless they are called something different around here :confused3

I emailed special diets and they sent me back a form which I have to send back, I really just want the special plate of treats at the dessert party I have read about that are sugar free, as for my other meals I just pick and choose/substitute as needed, I have to see how the form is set up. I hope I can just fill it out for the dessert party and not all our meals

I should think with utilizing the CL offering you could do late breakfast would never work for me and DH he would be starving to death.

Question about Kouzzina--I'm still playing with that particular ADR in my mind. I rarely see reviews for it. Have any of you been there?

I was thinking 11am=late breakfasts might be what we do :goodvibes

I've never done a late breakfast ADR before but I think I'll try it out for one meal just to see how it works out for us. I'm thinking of trying it out on Hollywood & Vine.

I'm so happy for you getting to go back & at least visit AKL for a meal! I really don't foresee myself ever getting Ed over there - even for a meal. :sad2:

I haven't eaten there yet. But, it seems like here lately I've been seeing people talk about a little more in trip reports, etc. I was following a TR that reviewed the breakfast there & they said it was very good. Were you considering it for breakfast, lunch or dinner?

amanda I was back at it again this am for about the past hour changeing away, I did find an ADR for Le Cellier that was later but on the wrong day  but it actually worked out since I was able to move my Via Napoli to 2pm on our Boma day that should give us plenty of time to explore, shop at AKL and return to BW before lunch. I ended up cancelling both of the evening ADRs I had made for DTD , I know I will be lucky if DH stays awake until 9pm most nights so by making an ADR for Le Cellier on our last day at 1:35pm I think we should have time to head to DTD after breakfast on our last day and as a surprise for DH I made and ADR for Marrakesh someplace he has been talking about going to for years(more the belly dancer, than the food) and shifted our Dinner reservation at Cape to later in the evening. I am thinking Marrakesh will be a waste of a TS credit unless I am very surprised and we like the food but he is going to Bomas for me so I think surprising DH will get the trip off to a good start for him.

Here is how my ADRs look now .......I do think I am done now :rotfl:

3/4 Big River Grill & Brewing Works (new)
Marrakesh 3:30(new)
Cape May 8:30pm(new for dinner)

3/5 Boma 7:30am(new for DH)

amandaw: I'm thinking dinner.

I've known one person to eat there for dinner & they liked it. The dinner menu does look really good. I say go for it! My DH was wanting to have dinner there on our next trip but I just couldn't work it into our schedule. I wanted to try it for breakfast but, again, I couldn't make it work for us. Let me know if you end up eating there....I need a review!

I'm so happy for you that you were able to move around ADRs & get all you want! :goodvibes Yeah, I think Ed would enjoy the belly dancers at Marrakesh, too. The food - not so much. I hope it's a pleasant surprise for y'all & that meal is wonderful! You'll have to tell me how Mama Melrose is. We've never eaten there. I'm contemplating doing a dinner ADR there so we could get the F! package, but as of right now, I have 50's Prime Time in our schedule. Looks like you have a really great ADR schedule for y'all. Now, the question is.....will it stay that way? :rotfl:

amandaw--I have eaten at Mama Melrose's 4 different times. It has consistently been a favorite of ours
