ADR Changers - We still don't know what we want for dinner!

I really do want to try the deluxe dining plan one day. My DH insists that we wait until our son is older & can actually eat that much food. I have to agree with him. I don't think we'd get our money's worth on Deluxe for a 3 year old. UGH - make that a 4 year old! My baby is turning 4 tomorrow! :sad1:

Okay, here is my basic itinerary & ADR list (as of tonight :rotfl: )

Sat., 9/29: This is our arrival day & the night of the ToT race. We'll eat on the road & the only meal we'll have at Disney will be dinner. We'll have to do something light like sandwiches or something at Boardwalk Bakery or Beach Club Marketplace.

Sun., 9/30: We will be moving from Boardwalk to OKW this day. Before we move, I want to do lunch at Beaches & Cream.
That night, we are hoping there will be MNSSHP @ MK & we'll grab a quick bite @ Cosmic Ray's.

Mon., 10/1: Breakfast in the room.
Going to Islands of Adventure & will have lunch there. Will leave by 2pm.
To Epcot for dinner at Chefs de France.

Tues., 10/2: Breakfast @ Ohana & then on to Magic Kingdom.
Lunch @ Pecos Bill's.
Dinner @ Cosmic Ray's.

Wed., 10/3: Breakfast in the room.
Going to DHS & will have lunch @ Hollywood & Vine.
Dinner @ Sci-Fi.

Thurs., 10/4: Breakfast in the room.
Going to Epcot & will have lunch @ Cantina de San Angel.
Dinner @ Via Napoli.

Fri., 10/5: Going to Magic Kingdom, breakfast @ Crystal Palace.
Lunch @ Cosmic Ray's.
Dinner @ Ohana.

Sat., 10/6: Last day - Breakfast @ Kona Cafe.
Going to AK & will have lunch @ the Yak & Yeti counter service.
From AK, will head to DTD & have dinner @ Earl of Sandwich.

I really tried to fit in all of the TS places I've always wanted to eat at since we used to not do a lot of TS meals. These are all new for us except for Cosmic Ray's & Pecos Bill's. We have eaten at Kona but only for dinner. If, by some miracle, Gaston's Tavern & Be Our Guest would be open during our trip, I would have to work those in.

Okay, y'all tell me what y'all think! :goodvibes
First, happy birthday to your little man!
Second, I love that you're trying so many new restaurants this trip. It can be hard to branch out when we have so many favorites.
You guys really love Cosmic Ray's, huh? ;)
We've eaten at most of the places on your list, and they are all good. I think Via Napoli is our favorite of the TS restaurants you listed. Will you be trying for the Crystal Palace res before park opening? We haven't done an MK breakfast ADR, but it sounds cool.
I will cross my fingers for one of the new Fantasyland restaurants to be open!

First, happy birthday to your little man!

Thank you! He had a wonderful day. I just can't believe how big he's getting.

Second, I love that you're trying so many new restaurants this trip. It can be hard to branch out when we have so many favorites.

It is hard to break away from the things we know & love. But, once I got started listing out all the places I'd like to try, it was like I couldn't stop!

You guys really love Cosmic Ray's, huh? ;)

Not really. What makes you think that? :rotfl2: Yes, we do love Cosmic Ray's. I guess I look at it like 3 QS places in 1 spot. We love the burger options, the roasted chicken, etc & then also the cold sandwiches. So every time we eat there, I make us go to a different bay. And we spend the majority of our time in Tomorrowland & Fantasyland. So, the location is great for us.

We've eaten at most of the places on your list, and they are all good. I think Via Napoli is our favorite of the TS restaurants you listed.

I'm really excited to try Via Napoli. At first, I wasn't going to do an ADR for that night in Epcot because we want to try out some F&W kiosks. But, we decided we'll split a few things from the kiosks & save some room for Via Napoli. I just had to try it!

Will you be trying for the Crystal Palace res before park opening? We haven't done an MK breakfast ADR, but it sounds cool.

My goal is to get an ADR before park opening. We've done that at other character breakfasts & we love doing that. I can only imagine that it will be even more exciting since we'll actually be in MK! :yay:

I will cross my fingers for one of the new Fantasyland restaurants to be open!

Keep them crossed tight! I would be beside myself if we got to eat at them!

How many nights are you staying? It looks like you might be paying OOP for a few meals ( or am I missing something ). Is your little one (Happy Bday) good to go for full days or do you need breaks, naps and downtime? Not sure if you need to plan time to go back to hotel midday etc( it's been so long since my daughter was little , I cant recall and also it depends a lot on the child themselves-and Mama knows best). At least you're there with cooler weather so, that makes the days easier ( we have to travel in summer because of school and such and being so far away-it's a days travel each way). Seems like a few big lunches and dinners , not sure if you're doing early lunch and late dinner or what your normal schedule of eating is. I'm not usually a late eater but, I dont stay up late either.... this will have to change on my vacation... not much to do at 6 am in Disney!!!You're lineup looks great. I'm interested in the Yak and Yeti CS as well. It used to get all sorts of good reviews but, isnt spoken about too much lately. Also, are you going to do Fantasmic pkg with your HS day? I think you could book it with your H & V lunch. Is your son big on Dinosaurs? Is it worth trying TREX?

ok, so heard lots of great things about Rose and Crown, menu didnt super excite me but, steak and fish works for me... not so much for my daughter
Figured she would probably try the Sunday Roast... well, now its not on the new menu!!!!I have scored the 7:40 ressie on a evening EMH at Epcot so we will be there for Illuminations.... now I'm seriously considering changing.... UGH

How many nights are you staying? It looks like you might be paying OOP for a few meals ( or am I missing something ).

We'll be there for 8 nights but we're not starting the DDP until our 2nd day there. So, it'll be 7 nights on the DDP. We will end up having to pay OOP for 1 QS meal (our dinner the 1st night) as well as 2 TS meals.

Is your little one (Happy Bday) good to go for full days or do you need breaks, naps and downtime? Not sure if you need to plan time to go back to hotel midday etc( it's been so long since my daughter was little , I cant recall and also it depends a lot on the child themselves-and Mama knows best).

Thank you for the Happy Bday wish for my son! Disney is the one place I truly appreciate my son's high energy, low sleep pace of life. We are rope drop or breakfast before rope drop people. We go all day in the parks & play hard. If Reid does by some chance, get a little tired, he just takes a nap in his stroller. But, that doesn't happen every day. And he's usually good until we leave at park closing. I'm lucky that he doesn't require going back to the hotel for naps. The way Reid is, he would get highly upset if we went back to the hotel for downtime. With him, it would probably make things harder. :rotfl2:

At least you're there with cooler weather so, that makes the days easier ( we have to travel in summer because of school and such and being so far away-it's a days travel each way).

I've been a little worried about the weather. So many people have told me that it's horribly humid & hot during the 1st week of October. But, the way I see it, is we live in south Louisiana. So, we are very used to humid & hot. I can't imagine having to go in the summer. Reid will start kindergarten in 2013 & then I'll have to change when we go. But, I'm going to try to avoid the summer. I'm thinking mid-May right when he gets out of school will be our new time starting 2014.

Seems like a few big lunches and dinners , not sure if you're doing early lunch and late dinner or what your normal schedule of eating is. I'm not usually a late eater but, I dont stay up late either.... this will have to change on my vacation... not much to do at 6 am in Disney!!!

We usually do our lunches early - mainly to avoid the noon rush. Then, we'll do dinners around 7pm or so. I have contemplated taking off Sci-Fi & just doing a QS meal that night.

You're lineup looks great. I'm interested in the Yak and Yeti CS as well. It used to get all sorts of good reviews but, isnt spoken about too much lately.

Thanks! Part of me really wants to try Yak & Yeti but part of me is hesitant. We always eat at Flame Tree BBQ when in AK. We absolutely love it. I'm wondering if we should just stick to what we know & love for our AK lunch.

Also, are you going to do Fantasmic pkg with your HS day? I think you could book it with your H & V lunch.

I am so torn on whether or not to do the F! package. I need to find out more because I didn't think I could use lunch @ H&V for the package. But, if I can, that would probably work.

Is your son big on Dinosaurs? Is it worth trying TREX?

I thought about TREX. My son likes dinosaurs but he is very skittish. :sad2: I have a good friend who went to TREX on her family trip in February. Her kids loved it & they all loved the food. She said it was one of their best meals. But, she said it might scare Reid. So, I'm torn on that one.

ok, so heard lots of great things about Rose and Crown, menu didnt super excite me but, steak and fish works for me... not so much for my daughter
Figured she would probably try the Sunday Roast... well, now its not on the new menu!!!!I have scored the 7:40 ressie on a evening EMH at Epcot so we will be there for Illuminations.... now I'm seriously considering changing.... UGH

I can't believe they took off the Sunday Roast! If that was all she would eat, I would probably try to get something else. Have you checked out what other ADRs are available for that night?

Your dining plans look good. I do have one suggestion if you decide you want to have a sit down breakfast on one of the mornings that you plan on eating in your room, Olivia's Cafe at OKW is very good. I had their banana bread french toast one morning and all I can say is YUM! We also did a lunch there, DH and Ddil had their Cuban's which they loved. They do take reservations but very easy to do as a walk up as they never seemed to be busy and this was during Spring Break.

I've been eyeing the banana bread french toast but, dont think we're gong to make it over there to try.

you should be able to book H & V with the Fantasmic pkg ( that , MM and HBD are the three restaurants that participate) You might need to call in and reserve the package online because sometimes the Fantasmic pkgs arent available to book online at the 180 day mark. Just have a back up plan because Fantasmic is not always every night so, you might have to bebop your days around a little ( I know it happened to me)

My daughter might eat steak( if she had to ) or perhaps try the chicken curry. I also saw that there was a grilled chicken breast on the kids menu, perhaps they would let her order that. Rose and Crown has gotten such good reviews and I scored with the reservation. If we are lucky enough to eat outside, we would have a view for Illuminations (our ressies are at 7:40 on an evening Epcot EMH night) or if we eat inside (yea air conditioning in June), they have their own viewing area for Illuminations.
Otherwise I would love to try Tutto Italia ( but I dont know what there new menu is going to be) or even go to Via Napoli. Or we can go to my backup Chefs De France. Since I wound up getting a code for free QS and just paid the upgrade to reg DDP ($18 per person per day), I'm not as concerned about getting the most bang for the buck because, I'm still way ahead of the game.
My gut is sticking with R & C unless she majorly objects.

Thank you for that suggestion. I have heard from a few people on the boards that Olivia's is good. I am contemplating trying to fit in a breakfast there. I will have to take another look at our itinerary! :thumbsup2

That's good to know! I'll have to make a decision about it soon. I love Fantasmic but we haven't gone on our last 2 trips because I wasn't sure how our son would react. I'm thinking about doing it with him this year but I'm still a little unsure....he can scare easily sometimes.

My husband had steak when we ate there in May & he really liked it. I think it's a good idea to just go ahead & try Rose & Crown, especially with such a great ADR time. But, if you do end up changing, sounds like you have some great backup ideas!

I agree - it definitely helps to pass the time! And it gets me more & more excited for the trip.

Yeah, I've been laying low at home, not talking about it toooo much. But, my DH better be ready for the end of May/beginning of June - I will be in full-blown ADR obsession mode! :lmao:

So glad to hear that y'all liked 'Ohana & H&V for breakfast! My little boy is excited to meet Stitch since he hasn't met him on his other trips. And I think he will flip his lid when he makes Jake! That is so much fun that your son will get to celebrate his bday at Disney. :goodvibes I hope to do that one year for our son.

I tell you....I'm already dreading it & my son doesn't start until Aug. 2013. :scared1:

I have been trying to stay off here so I wouldn't keep mixing up our ADRs!

Stitch was a lot of fun, I didn't even know my son knew who he was but he was one of his faves last year. Both my kids are Jake crazy, we are trying H&V for lunch too.

We are super excited to be celebrating our son's bday! It's def going to be a special trip! Of your ADRs the only two we have done are CP and Ohana breakfast and we really enjoyed them!

I can definitely understand that! But, it is good to see you here!

Reid is loving Stitch these days. In fact, one of his bday presents that we gave him yesterday was the Lilo & Stitch movie. He was so excited. I was a little hesitant about booking H&V just to see Jake. But, Reid told me he still really likes Manny & Oso. So, I figured I'll go for it!

A special trip indeed! I wasn't going to do CP but I changed my mind & found a day to work it in. I just always hear so many good things about the breakfast there!

I would definitely do MM again even if paying OOP I think it is not a bad deal at all for $34.99pp
I see what you mean. For me, my first choice is the flatbread as my meal. Since that is only about $13, and I'm not sure we'd order an app and dessert normally, the F! Package isn't as worth it to us. We may do it again, and I don't regret doing it recently, but it just wasn't as good of a value or experience for us. :goodvibes

I'm so nervous about DD going to Kindergarten in the fall! Our closest family is a flight away, so for visits with them and how much we love to vacation, I'm not sure how to make it all work!

As for Yak & Yeti CS, we have enjoyed it. We haven't tried Flame Tree, so y&y is our go to. They have nice shaded outdoor seating behind the restaurant and it's cute that things come in Chinese takeout containers.

I can't believe they took off the Sunday Roast! If that was all she would eat, I would probably try to get something else. Have you checked out what other ADRs are available for that night?

I was just commenting on the Sunday roast in another thread. I hope your daughter can find something else on the menu. It's a great ADR.

My DD can be the same way. She is scared by situational things, not usually things like fireworks. So I tried to explain to her ahead of time that Mickey has a dream with some nice parts and some nightmare parts. Other than incessantly asking during the show why he's having a bad dream, she wasn't scared.

I can definitely understand that! But, it is good to see you here!

A special trip indeed! I wasn't going to do CP but I changed my mind & found a day to work it in. I just always hear so many good things about the breakfast there!

Happy Birthday to your little guy!

CP was amazing and we love the Pooh characters so the yummy food was a bonus. I have us trying it for dinner on our next trip but I'm not sure it will stick, our plans are a little up in the air at the moment, (lol, there is a reason I joined on this thread!)

I have had our plans set for months but now the more I think about it I think our plans need to change:scared1:

We are celebrating DS's bday this trip. We have an 8:10 breakfast reservation at Ohana and after that we will go to MK. He has a Pirate League appt at 11:10 and then after that we will probably head back to the hotel because we have a busy night. We booked the Pirates and Pals cruise and I want the kids to be awake for that! pirate:

Now the original plan was to have dinner at Chef Mickeys at 6:40 and then check in for the cruise. The more I read though I am thinking that we will be too rushed through dinner, (especially if we are seated late) to really enjoy it and then be too full to fully enjoy the snacks they offer for the cruise. So my son said that eating at Trex for his birthday would be fine so I am thinking I will try to get an early dinner at 4 and have an afternoon at DTD and then rest until the cruise.

The problem though is now 2 months out CM is booked the rest of the week except for 9 at night or 7 in the morning. So I snagged us a 7am breakfast ressie on a day MK has am EMH but my husband thinks we should just not do CM this trip as he thinks that is just too early. My argument is that it's only an hour earlier but I see his point. So now I'm looking at no CM's and having an extra TS credit!

While the F! Pkg is available for both lunch and dinner now at lunch only MM or HBD can be booked. H&V is dinner only

Only note here is I am thinking of doing the TOT race. I ran my 2nd 5K yesterday and finished 8th in my division. I should have done the 10K, but I was scared. I'm doing another 5K in a few weeks. Since the race is that day, I like doing pizza on race day to get some carbs in.

Sun., 9/30: We will be moving from Boardwalk to OKW this day. Before we move, I want to do lunch at Beaches & Cream. We have a similar thought process, lol.
That night, we are hoping there will be MNSSHP @ MK & we'll grab a quick bite @ Cosmic Ray's. My favorite CS in Magic Kingdom!

Mon., 10/1: Breakfast in the room.
Going to Islands of Adventure & will have lunch there. Will leave by 2pm.
To Epcot for dinner at Chefs de France. The onion soup is the best!

Tues., 10/2: Breakfast @ Ohana & then on to Magic Kingdom. This is a great breakfast, and I love the atmosphere there! We sat overlooking the castle.
Lunch @ Pecos Bill's. TO me, this is an okay CS, but I think there are better places for the use of that credit. My favorite is Cosmic Ray's. I wonder if you have tried Columbia Harbor House
Dinner @ Cosmic Ray's.

Wed., 10/3: Breakfast in the room.
Going to DHS & will have lunch @ Hollywood & Vine. Not my favorite place by far. I just have had a real bad meal experience there.
Dinner @ Sci-Fi. Looks fun--I hear it's hit more miss.

Thurs., 10/4: Breakfast in the room.
Going to Epcot & will have lunch @ Cantina de San Angel. Yum--Churros!
Dinner @ Via Napoli. This looks like a great choice!

Fri., 10/5: Going to Magic Kingdom, breakfast @ Crystal Palace. Great breakfast!!!
Lunch @ Cosmic Ray's.
Dinner @ Ohana. This seems fun. We choose Kona because the desserts really don't appeal here.

Sat., 10/6: Last day - Breakfast @ Kona Cafe. Great place. Never done breakfast, but it's on my someday list.
Going to AK & will have lunch @ the Yak & Yeti counter service. This is a great place that gets overlooked at AK
From AK, will head to DTD & have dinner @ Earl of Sandwich. Yummy! I love that place!

:goodvibes

First of all, I think you would like the DxDP. I like using it to get in signatures, but we still only eat two full meals per day on the DxDP. I like doing a late breakfast/early lunch, snack credits, and a large dinner.

I made notes on your reservations above in green.

So, I've made a few changes, and they are so definitely extensive, that I thought I'd make some comments about our choices (again). This time, I'll separate by day, along with what we think we will do for snack credits:

May 31, 2012

We are checking into POP Century for just one night, here and there are a couple of things swimming in my head, but I think this is the prevailing idea:

Beaches and CreamOddly, even though we stayed at the Beach Club last year, we never stopped by. We intended to step in and get the kitchen sink, but we just didn't. Not that we ran out of time--in 11 days you just can't do that. We just didn't have it way on our radar. The plan is to split a burger and fries and to split a Sundae here.

June 1, 2012

Breakfast: Cafe Rix at Coronado Springs: We have to check and make sure our dining credits work, don't we? We'll pick up our refillable mugs and grab a few pastries to eat on our way to the Magic Kingdom after I park my truck. I doubt the room will be ready--we just can't get that lucky two years in a row, but that's all right!

Lunch: Crystal Palace: This is actually a late breakfast reservation at Crystal Palace. CP is a favorite. Usually it's the last reservation we family members have together, but we want to start with it this time.

Dinner: Narcoossee's: Can you say, "Surf and Turf"? I love Narcoossee's. It was one of may favorites from December 2009!

June 2, 2012

Breakfast: Main Street Bakery: We'll pick up pastries the night before and refill our mugs.

Lunch: Akershus:This is the latest breakfast reservation--11:00. We love this meal, but have not been since 2008. The potatoes are awesome, and the character interaction great. I know Sweetie is 13, but she still likes the princesses.

Dinner: Fulton's Crab House:I am a definite seafood lover. When this place appeared on the dining plan, I was so excited!

June 3, 2012

Breakfast: Boma: Sweetie has not done this one, but it is, in my opinion, the best breakfast buffet on property. I also have been here and I was quickly finished--in plenty of time to drive over to Animal Kingdom. This will be one of the few times we drive to the parks.

Lunch: Kusafiri in Animal Kingdom: I've been eyeing the cupcakes here for some time. We'll use snack credits to have cupcakes for lunch (yes, you read that right)

Dinner: California Grill: I've added and deleted this reservation over and over throughout the years, but with it just being myself and Sweetie, I think it will stay this time around. We are unsure of the choices for our nonadventurous eater, but I understand them to be very accommodating, and think we can pull something together. Sweetie is thinking flatbread app, the filet (hopefully she can sub fries or regular mashed potatoes), and cake. I'm thinking tuna three ways, bison, and something light for desert.

June 4, 2012

Breakfast: Cafe Rixagain, snack credits for pastries along with the use of the mugs

Lunch: Yak and YetiTHis is an add-on recently, and although Sweetie is not greatly adventurous, a friend recommended this one. We can try it once, since there's not much choice in Animal Kingdom

Dinner: Cape May Cafe: Sweetie's absolute favorite. No danger here. Great Location, as well.

June 5, 2012

Breakfast: Starring Rolls:Yes, cupcakes for breakfast, too. Why not?!?

Lunch: Teppan Edo: We have no Hibachi-style grills where we live, so this became a family favorite last year (bad jokes included). We're excited about this one!

Dinner: Chefs de France This is a choice that at one time, I wouldn't think of. I had a bad experience, but I gave them another try. We've been there ever since. This reservation is for an Extra Magic Hour, and after the fireworks. I know this is late, and we may not get many rides in, but it's an exciting thought for us to be some of the last in Epcot.

June 6, 2012 (Last day :( )

Breakfast: Starring Rolls: Again, cupcakes for breakfast!

Lunch: Mama Melrose's: This restaurant often gets a bad rap, but we have had nothing but good experiences here. There aren't many choices in Hollywood Studios. The Brown Derby, in my opinion, is not worth two credits, Hollywood and Vine was horrible when we went, Sci Fi doesn't interest us, and we don't like the idea of the antics at 50s Prime Time

Dinner: Kona Cafe: A trip of opposites--this is usually our first meal. So we switch CP and Kona. We love this restaurant, especially the low key nature of it.

So, there we have our newest locations. You will find this same information in a Dining PTR, as soon as I can figure out a title for it, lol!

I'm so nervous about DD going to Kindergarten in the fall! Our closest family is a flight away, so for visits with them and how much we love to vacation, I'm not sure how to make it all work!

I know what you mean....I'm already starting to dread my son starting kindergarten in 2013. I think we're going to switch our vacations to May starting in 2014. Well, actually we're looking at a cruise in May 2013. But, I'm thinking once he starts school, we can just leave the day they get out of school or the day after, since they always get out in mid-May down here.

As for Yak & Yeti CS, we have enjoyed it. We haven't tried Flame Tree, so y&y is our go to. They have nice shaded outdoor seating behind the restaurant and it's cute that things come in Chinese takeout containers.

I'm glad to know y'all like Yak & Yeti CS! That makes me feel better about giving it a try. My DH & I both like Chineses food. But, he was hesitant to give up Flame Tree. If y'all like BBQ food, then y'all should definitely try it one day. I love the chicken!

My DD can be the same way. She is scared by situational things, not usually things like fireworks. So I tried to explain to her ahead of time that Mickey has a dream with some nice parts and some nightmare parts. Other than incessantly asking during the show why he's having a bad dream, she wasn't scared.

My son was born with a slight hearing loss in his right ear. It was determined that he couldn't hear high pitches. Well, he passed his hearing test last year & they think his ears have overcompensated to make up for the hearing loss. While that's great, he now has a sensitivity to loud noises. So, he's skittish about unknown things & loud noises (like fireworks) can get him all worked up. But, I'm still considering trying Fantasmic with him.

Happy Birthday to your little guy!

Thank you! :goodvibes

CP was amazing and we love the Pooh characters so the yummy food was a bonus. I have us trying it for dinner on our next trip but I'm not sure it will stick, our plans are a little up in the air at the moment, (lol, there is a reason I joined on this thread!)

I'm excited to try it. I wanted to go there on our last 2 trips but my son was never into those characters. Well now, all of sudden, he loves Pooh & Tigger. :confused3

How exciting that he gets to do Pirates League & the Pirates & Pals cruise! :woohoo: I thought about booking that cruise for our trip. I can definitely see your point about the dinner being rushed. I like your idea of moving dinner to TREX. In my opinion, I would keep the 7am ADR @ CM. We've done that ADR time there before & I really like it. You get in, meet characters, eat & get out. We were there less than an hour. It is early but it really works out nice for getting you into the park.

While the F! Pkg is available for both lunch and dinner now at lunch only MM or HBD can be booked. H&V is dinner only

Thanks for this info! I thought it was only dinner at H&V that was eligible for the F! package but I wasn't 100% positive since we 've never done it before. So, if I want to do the F! package, I need dinner at either MM or HBD. Right now, we were thinking Sci-Fi but I have no problem changing that. We did consider HBD but I just don't know that I want to use 2 TS credits. Hmmmm.....maybe we should just give MM a try. That way if we do end up doing Fantasmic, we'll have the priority seating. :scratchin

Thanks for the notes on my ADR list!

ToT Race: You'll have to let me know if you end up running it! I'll be at the finish line waiting for my husband!

Cosmic Ray's: This is my favorite CS option in MK, too! It just offers a lot of variety.

Chefs: I'm glad to know you love the french onion soup. I'll definitely be getting that for an appetizer!

Ohana breakfast: I'm excited to try this especially since our son is loving Stitch these days.

Columbia Harbor House: I've considered this since we've never tried it. My DH isn't the biggest seafood lover but I may need to look at the menu again.

H&V: I'm not excited about this meal at all. But, since my son loves those characters I'm going to take one for the team.

Crystal Palace: I'm so excited to finally have breakfast here.

Ohana dinner: This is the one place my DH really wants to try.

Kona: I've heard so many good things about the breakfast here. I can't wait to experience it for myself. We've had dinner here before & loved it.

Yak & Yeti: I'm glad to hear another person liked this! It took a lot of convincing for DH to give up Flame Tree.

EOS: I wanted to try this on our last trip but it was unbelievable crowded.

The plan is to split a burger and fries and to split a Sundae here.[/COLORThat sounds like a great plan!

It was one of may favorites from December 2009!Yum! I'd love to go there. One day I'll make it!

I know Sweetie is 13, but she still likes the princesses.I have heard so many good things about this place. We probably won't ever find out since I only have a boy.

Dinner: Fulton's Crab House:I am a definite seafood lover. When this place appeared on the dining plan, I was so excited!I was seriously considering adding this place. The menu looks delicious!

June 3, 2012

Breakfast: Boma: Sweetie has not done this one, but it is, in my opinion, the best breakfast buffet on property. I also have been here and I was quickly finished--in plenty of time to drive over to Animal Kingdom. This will be one of the few times we drive to the parks.I've heard lots of good stuff about Boma. Are the buffet items very exotic? My DH is not an adventurous eater.

Lunch: Kusafiri in Animal Kingdom: I've been eyeing the cupcakes here for some time. We'll use snack credits to have cupcakes for lunch (yes, you read that right)
Nothing wrong with that!

I'm thinking tuna three ways, bison, and something light for desert.I was really wanting to try this place but I've heard it'll be closed in October for a refurb. Who knows, though.

Breakfast: Starring Rolls:Yes, cupcakes for breakfast, too. Why not?!?Sounds yummy! And it's vacation!

Lunch: Teppan Edo: We have no Hibachi-style grills where we live, so this became a family favorite last year (bad jokes included). We're excited about this one!

I like Teppan Edo but we normally skip it since we do have Hibachi style places near us. My only complaint is that Teppan Edo doesn't do fried rice.

Just a few things--I'll let you know about running the race, definitely!

The french onion soup and the lobster bisque are great at Chefs!

I love dinner at Kona.

Thanks, oh, and I started my Dining PTR. Link is in my signature.
