Has anyone done this?
We have an ADR for breakfast in September an hour before MK opens.
We're excited to be on Main Street before the crowds!
Am curious if they keep you in the restaraunt until 9?
Thanks!

You will be in the restauraunt until at least 9:00. It generally takes the characters 1 hour to 1.25 hours to make the rounds. As a note, we had an 8:10 reservation, but were not seated until 8:30 for some reason. Get there early!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

We have had no problem getting the characters to our table in less than 45 minutes. We have done this (eating at 8:05) before the park opens and it is great.

Not always. In February, we had an 8:05 PS, got in, ate, saw the characters, and left about 8:55. Headed straight to the Adventureland entrance, followed the CMs as they led us into Frontierland, and were the first ones of the day to ride Splash Mountain! Got a cool certificate and a free picture (although I understand they don't always do this).

It probably all depends how quickly you eat and how much you want to see the characters. Oh, and Main Street when it is practically empty is amazing!

We love the early seating at CP and try to make that a first stop on every trip. It really does feel like you have the park almost to yourself and it gives you a wonderful opportunity to take some family pictures in front of the castle without the crowds.

We had an 8:05 PS at Crystal Palace last May and we were out of there by about 8:50. I think we saw all the characters and we even lined up for Piglet. But as the others have said, you've got to get there early, and not just to the MK; you've got to get to the crystal palace before everybody else if you want to be seated before them. So here's the deal - you can either enjoy the empty park before your breakfast, but then you might not get seated for a while and probably won't finish before 9:00 OR you can rush right to the Crystal Palace and probably be seated early and finish early and enjoy the park for a little whiule before 9:00. But remember that "rope drop" procedures constantly change and sometimes they just open the park early anyway, so you may get out at 8:45 and find yourself in a crowd.

One tip, if you're really concerned about time, and getting out of the CP on time, bring in varying denominations so you can pay for your meal and scram. Nothing worse than having a deadline to meet and having to wait for the waitress to bring you your check, then wait for here to come back for your credit card, then wait for her to reurn with the slip for your signature.
