Hi my 90+10 ADR window is rapidly approaching and I'm torn between booking all of our TS meal credits and therefore restricting ourselves by having to be in certain places at certain times to eat and just booking some and leaving the rest to chance :scared1:

We are going in August and there is a lot of free dining being offered so what do people think the chances will be of say walking in for a (non character) breakfast at a resort restaurant, I'm thinking of Olivia's as we'll be at OKW but other resorts or park restaurants would be fine too.

This is our first trip and I don't want to spoil it but having to hussle everyone to our next booking :headache:

Thank you in advance :thumbsup2

I would book ADR's for all credits then if you want once you get there you cancel or change as necessary :goodvibes

This is what we have done in the past much easier as you know you will have *somewhere* to eat!

we didnt book adrs last year- 28th aug to 10th sept- and we couldnt get into some places so i would book adrs, you can always cancel them if you cant make it

During free dining TS restaurants book up so I would make the ADR's. We will have one ADR booked for each day on our trip.

would suggest ADR's are a must, as folk ahve said if you do not need them you can canel

How much notice do you have to give for cancellations? Can you cancel on the morning of your reservation? Do you do through reception at the resort or direct to the restaurant?

Sorry for so many questions

would have sdaid in the past, that you had to book. as free ddp would make it realy bussy in the resturants.but this year would say book the important ones which will fill up quickly and do some walk ups

You can cancel them at front desk, on the phone (there is a button or quick dial number on the in-room phones), guest services at the park or the restaurant itself!

Most restaurants you do not have to give any notice - so just when you decide you don't want it but some places do take a credit card hold and have a 48 or 24 hr cancellation policy but the CM making the reservations will let you know if this applies. I always make a note with my confirmation number if it has a cancellation restriction! :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the great responses (as a newbie I've had lots of questions and have always been pleasantly surprised by the amount of great information my fellow Dis-ers can and will provide! :)) :grouphug:

I'll book all the restaurants that we want to try and cancel if and when we need to. :yay:
