I'm curious on this as well.
My party size is 3 on the ADRs, but I need to add a fourth. I'm guessing in my case it will be easy, since tables that only seat 3 are pretty rare

When I called I was told the table was a 9 seater. Switching to 10 people would require a new ADR. But after thinking about it, we have 3 kids in our party, one of which is under 1. So I don't think this we be a (space) problem if we show up with 10.
Going from 3 to 4 is should be no problem as I changed one of mine already from a 3 to a 4 keeping the same ADR.

Actually space is a problem. If you have a ressie for 9 and show up with 10 even though 1 is an infant, they still have to find a ten top for you. Esp. if the baby needs a high chair. You will have to wait for a table that accomodates your party size to open up, but you have that with any party/table size.

Call Disney Dining. They normally have the size of the Table that is reserved for you. Last year we went from a party of 5 to a party of 6. All the ADR's were for 6-TOP tables. (Food service term for # of people can be seated.), except Chef Mickey's, where we were set at a 5-TOP. I couldn't change the ressie, but I asked them to add a note to the ADR that we would have an extra person. So, I recommend do the same, call Disney Dining, give them your ADR #, tell them what you need and ask if it will be OK, if they say that you are at a Table for 9, ask if you can flag a note to your ressie.
I had to change adrs from 4 to 5 (mil decided she really needed to come) and we had to get all new ressies and that meant times. We almost lost our crt ressies. It worked out though and I don't know that 9-10 will make a difference since it will be an even number. I would call and try and if you can't get anything go with ten and just hold the baby on your lap. If you are like we always were that is where our baby ended up anyway.
I had a party of 5 booked at WCC. I called to add a sixth person and was told that I would need a new ressie, which resulted in a new time. I ended up canceling the ressie because the new time was too late.
