Hi Everyone!
Micah is doing much better. We're definitely battling some parasites, and we fought scabies (hopefully for the last time). But beyond all that, (which our agency had prepped us for and we fully expected), everything checks out good and he is doing great... a little too great. I'm almost waiting for the other shoe to drop. It feels like it shouldn't be this easy, this smooth after everything we prepared ourselves for. KWIM? I am amazed at how deeply in love with him we are already and he is soo a part of our family. One of his first words in English was "
Disneyland" so he's definitely in the right family. We had been planning on waiting awhile to take him but he is soo infatuated with the Disneyland Sing-a-long DVD and anything Mickey Mouse (we've taken to calling him Micah Mouse), so we are gonna go in 2 weeks. Crazy huh! Less than a month in the US and we're attempting Disney. I'm figuring I'll wear him in the back carrier and only attempt a few rides, lots of time snacking and hanging at the hotel pool (he loves to swim). I know usually theme parks are a big no-no right away cause of overstimulation. But his environment (home and orphanage) was WAY stimulating (too much so for my other kids). He loves loud music, crowds, millions of things going on, so we're gonna try. If it doesn't work, I'm happy to hang out at the hotel or whatever is working for him while dh does the rides with our other kids, I'm just excited for to introduce him to the Mouse!
Monami- any update on when you get to travel? Not too long now (although I'm sure it doesn't feel that way). Rory is beautiful!
