Adoption Updates

I just wanted to say that I hope all of you are able to create your families & that those of you that have will continue to be blessed. I was a birthmom 9 years ago & while I haven't kept up the contact with them, I know that he's getting EVERYTHING I'd always wanted for a child. I still think of him every day, but know that I more than did the right thing by placing him with another family.

Hi I wanted to pop in here. I think I posted about a year ago. It has been quite a year. We came home with our adorable baby girl from Haiti (Lilly) 1 month ago today. She is just the light of our lives. I have never seen a kid so happy before. We are also STILL waiting on our refferal from China. Hopefully in a month or 2. We are using wasatch international adoptions. It has been 2 years this week since we started the process to adopt from China. Yikes.

We love Lilly- and our Lilly is also a Lillian just like yours! Lillian Grace Luke was almost an Aiden, but the creepy kid across the street growing up named his kid that Can't go there! So now he is Luke and it suits him so well!

Too funny! We were really trying to decide between Lilliana (Russian spelling) and Lilleana (Hawaiian spelling) and somehow decided to just stick with plain old Lillian. As for Kathryn, we covered that with our firstborn. Her name is Kayleigh, which is a derivative of Katherine, which is cool because my mom is Kathy.

Our daughter in China is Ariel Grace, LOL! In my travel party there is a family traveling to get their daughter who they have named Bella after Belle!

So we have Ariel, Aurora, and Belle covered. Just need Mulan, Jasmine, and Cinderella.......Snow White is a little out there, LOL!

How funny my son from Ethiopia is going to be Jasmine! Okay, I am kidding. I just wanted to get involved too.

If my bio son, Adam was a girl he was going to be Lucy Kathryn (Lucy Kate). If I had a girl now Lilly would be really high (top 3) on our list.

Right now we are leaning towards Micah for our son. I wanted an Old Testament Bible name, since they are used in Ethiopia but common enough here to not be wierd, or hard to pronounce or spell. Also our other two kids, Zoe and Adam coincidentally have Old Testament names.

One of my employees is named Jamine. (Ja-meen) He's from Kenya. That's close to Jasmine for a boy's name.

Our first is going to be either Gianna or Isabella (Bella) and if we adopt a second girl, it may be Jasmine... I LOVE that name although DH thinks it sounds like a stripper so I think it's going to be an uphill battle

I just wanted to add that Lillian was Walt's wifes name! And yes we thought of that before naming her. We already had the name Aurora set for DD from China, so I did not want Lilly to be left out!

PD My middle name is Kathleen and DS is Katherine so there is a good chance that Kathleen will be our naxt daughters middle name. That is if we adopt again.

Don't worry about the HS I was so worried when we did ours and it was really easy.

Kim I thought of that. How cool would it be to introduce our Chinese daughter as Mulan. Of course add that to our van tag that says Disney5, DH and my Mickey and Minnie tattoo, and that everyone in town knows we are nuts for Disney it would make sense.

Honestly I just don't care for the name Mulan, lol. I like Jasmine though (although not for a boy ) I don't think it sounds like a stripper!

I love the name Micah for a boy, love it!!!!

The more I look at blogs and adopted baby names the more I see Grace being the middle name more and more. Wonder if there is a sight with the #1 middle name! Bet Grace would be up there.
